The main work of Antoni Gaudi and uncompleted during his lifetime the work continues today based on reconstructed versions of the lost plans and on modern adaptations.

Gaudí was assigned the project in 1883 when the plot was an empty field over a mile away from urban Barcelona. He continued work until his death in 1926 having devoted the last 15 years of his life entirely to the project.

Opening:
The Temple is closed on the afternoons of December 25 and 26, January 1 and 6
October to March, 9am to 6pm.
April to September, 9am to 8pm.
