Estepona |
Estepona is a developed fishing village, much less commercialised than neighbouring resorts. There is a seaside promenade and harbour area and the resort is popular with families or couples. The main beach has coarse sand and some pebbly sections and is backed by a promenade with a few eating places.
Entertainment includes beach and water-based activities, the old town with the Los Remedios church and the clock tower, Torre del Reloj. The bullring, just outside town, has four museums (local history, archaeology, palaeontology and bullfighting). Night time entertainment is in bars and restaurants. There are traditional tapas bars with the specialities as seafood. Frequent buses run between Estepona and Marbella, with a regular service between Estepona and Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Less frequent runs to other resorts.
