Arcos de La Frontera Information
The town of Arcos de La Frontera is one of the famous 'White Villages' of the Sierra Cadiz. It is situated on a cliff top overlooking the Guadalete river, about 60 kilometres east of Cadiz, 200 kilometres west of Malaga Airport and 120 kilometres south of Seville. The town was an important frontier town between the Moors and the Spanish and finally became part of Spain in 1492. There are main historic buildings to be seen, some dating back to the 1100s.
