"Excellent Value For Money - Good Food"
Travel date:
May 2008
'Steptoes' was fabulous for traditional breakfasts and I was also told that their meals were good value for money too throughout the day. Our favourite light bite place was 'Cerveceria' tapas bar about three doors down from 'Steptoe's', where it is run by a Lanzarotian and deserved to be supported - very friendly. The 'Emperor' Chinese place around quarter of a mile to the left of the Santa Rosa was pleasant too.
We spent much time cooking in our apartments as we had two children of three and one who needed their food at certain times, but overall, one cannot fault the location of the hotel and the cleanliness. Pools also superb.

We visited 'Lani's' cantine and restaurant. The food and service was excellent. 'Portofino' and 'La Pardela' were also excellent. Well worth a few visits! 'The Mastil' was awful! Give it a miss.

"Best Eating Place In Town"

'Coffee And Cream' is a great place to eat. It is cheap and the food is first class. Owners John, who is a qualified chef, and Zoe make you feel really welcome. Also for the rest of the staff nothing is a problem for them. Best dishes are fillet steak Diane or sirloin steak. Oh, forgot to say main meals are two for 12.99 euros. Don't let cheap price put you off the food - it is excellent.

'Coffee & Cream', the place to be for good food, good service, good prices. Great for romantic dinners and for families as it is in a square that is safe for children to play in sight for you to see them.

Whatever age you are, if aged six or even 80, 'Saxo's' is the place for you.
There is live entertainment every night from discos, karaokes to magicians, hypnotists and even drag shows. These shows cannot be missed!
'Saxo's' is located on one of Costa Teguise's busiest streets (opposite the Teguise Playa Hotel) which makes it easy to find.
'Saxo's' also has two pool tables, air hockey and many more great games for kids as well as adults! It also has fast food served from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Cheers Bar

"New Bar In Town"

We stayed in Costa Teguise from the 9th - 16th March and really enjoyed it. On one of our many walks along the prom we decided to cut up to the main road and find somewhere to have a wee refreshment. We came across 'Cheers' bar and ended up having late breakfast there. Staff were really friendly, food was lovely.
We decided to go back there in the evening for the entertainment - a wee manic guy called Lee aka Muppet! Cheers has only been on the go a couple of weeks and I don't think it's been widely advertised as unfortunately there were only around 15 customers which is a shame as it was a good night.
Take a wander up - it's a wee bit out of the buzz but it's walkable and if you can't be bothered, it's only three euros in a taxi. It's definitely worth a visit

Just a wee note to say how much we enjoyed our brunch in 'Hennesey's' bar, sitting at their big open window looking
out to the beach - ah, bliss. Lovely food, nice hot tea and the woman who works there working away constantly but always really friendly and attentive even though for most of the time she seems to be doing the bulk of the work. Hats off also to the lady who does the cooking. All very nice. Thanks ladies.

Cactus Jack's does the best breakfast you will find in Costa Teguise - unbeatable. Also has a brilliant nightlife. The only fault was the fact they only had one WC each for male and female. Other than that, it is brilliant!

All three bars are brilliant, play excellent music and are very friendly,
You start of in San Miguels, have a few laughs with the locals and meet people from other hotels, get a big group together and its off to the Jellyfish nightclub for music and dancing and a free shot of their own special liquer. Then when the Jellyfish closes, its on to King Arthurs for an extra hour of fun.
All clubs are located just off the beach and are about a ten minute walk from Los Zocos Club Resort and are free entry. You are guaranteed to have a brilliant time, whatever age you are, and then have a pleasant walk back to your hotels along the sandy beach.
King Arthurs shuts around 3 am but you'll find by the time you've splashed about and had another beach party you won't get home until a lot later because you'll be having so much fun. But the bars are so close to all hotels in whatever direction!!! So don't leave it to the end of your holiday to try them out because you'll be kicking yourself on the way back home!
