"Best Bars And Cheapest"

There are a lot of bars around the Costa Adeje area, but some are quite expensive. We managed to find the cheapest ones. These were the 'Walihaii' (opposite the Iberostar) - 1.50 euros for a pint of local beer and two euros for local spirit and mixer. It is quiet in the day, but jam packed in the evening. Another nice bar was 'Taffy's Corner' (Puerto Colon) - home made food, one euro a pint and looking over the sea.

At the Puerto Colon end of the beach, the fish and chip restaurant is sited somewhat tucked away. Please suss it out, the fish and chips are something else. They have at least 200 different dishes on their menu and with the very nice English staff, it is a delight to eat there.

Found the 'Mexicano' as a guy was handing out vouchers near the steps where you walk down to the restaurant. Had free margaritas and great food every time. It became a favourite as across the courtyard was the British bar with the owners who sang (husband was Elvis and was great!). Would recommend for a great light hearted fun night for food and entertainment, as the restaurant/pub seemed to work in partnership.

All the above serve great food at very good price. Going to Tenerife for four years and wouldn't miss going for a meal to any of these restaurants.

On a recent visit to Tenerife we stayed in the Torviscas area and drank regularly in the 'Irish Rover' It is by far one of the best bars we have visited. The staff are excellent and we particularly became very good friends with the girls behind the bar, Sarah and Kayleigh. They were ever so welcoming and jolly all the time. You must pop in to see their dance routines - they are wicked and we also enjoyed their singing on the karaoke. It's a must go bar!

If you are going to Tenerife and you are in the Torviscas area, make sure you visit the 'Irish Rover'. The staff, the food and the entertainment are just right for a family night out. I have been going to Tenerife for many, many years and no visit is complete without visiting the 'Irish Rover'. Say hello to Benny and Wee Gordon who works the night shift - he is ace.

"Live band 'Kicks' Is Great. A Must To Be Seen By All"

This bar was recommended to us by others. Although the bar itself is very average, the band is not. Around 12.30 p.m., the band 'kicks' off, and the guitarist and drummer are brilliant. They play music for all tastes, to include Oasis, Coldplay and many old time rock tunes. This band should not be missed and deserves credit for their brilliant performance. Well done boys!

'Matlock's Bistro' is a must. Straight opposite San Eugenio centre. Food is excellent, well presented, not expensive and it's well worth a visit.
