Cala Nova Beach

"Take Time Out To Go Here!"

If you're staying in Es Cana, then take a stroll along the beach and pick up the promenade to Cala Nova beach (about half a mile). It is a pure paradise of white sands, no crowds, no noise - just heaven. It's where the locals and the people who know spend their beach time.

"Good For Babies"
Travel date:
May 2005
The staff at the Marvent restaurant work really, really hard all season long. The first time we visited, my little boy was on a bottle and it was the first time I had taken him on holiday. The staff warmed the bottle up as and when I wanted them to. They made my baby laugh so much. Well done to the staff at the Marvent.

"Popeye's Bar - What Can I Say"

Anyone going to Es Cana has got to go to 'Popeye's' bar. Tony the owner treats everyone like a friend and by the time you leave. that is exactly what you will be. All the staff are so friendly, food is great and the English chef is brill. Janie in charge of entertainment is a right laugh and you cant miss karaoke nights - they are a scream. Entertainment is top notch, especially Harry James - an absolutely brill singer.
We have been going to 'Popeye's' for ten years and we are still having a wonderful time. It's like revisiting old friends. Don't miss it.

Rio Bar

"Best Bar"
Travel date:
August 2007
We stayed in Es Cana from 1.8.07 to 8.8.07 and went to 'Rio' bar most nights. Staff excellent. Tina - bar maid, cook, bingo caller, quiz master - was the friendliest person you could wish to meet. Could not get to bar on our last night because of rain. Best bar we visited. You must give it a visit. A must for everyone.

"Rio's Bar - It's Great!"
Travel date:

This bar seemed to have a real friendly family atmosphere! They had bingo, quiz and karaoke every night and best of all they did fantastic cocktails! They really were great with little children. Even though we thought Es Cana was really great, it was lacking bars like 'Rio's' - so we spent quite a few nights here.

"Songs of Praise 6 p.m. on Sunday"

Well organised songs of praise in the hotel Panorama Thomson Gold on Sunday evenings led by local clergy. Worth attending, if you want something special out of your holiday.
