The resort of Puerto de Andratx (Port d'Andratx) is situated on the western coast of Mallorca some 32 kilometres west of Palma and 49 kilometres from the airport. The resort is a small-scale commercial fishing port and marina.
It has an authentic Mallorcan feel with its older buildings and narrow streets. It is suitable for those who prefer a quieter holiday with more regional atmosphere but are prepared to travel to the beach at Es Camp de Mar some five kilometres away. Night time entertainment is very low key but there are several waterfront restaurants and cafes serving local dishes, with seafood pre-eminent.

Hotels: We have stayed at La Pergola Hotel a few times and it is clean, well equipped and comfortable. The Brismar Hotel is more conveniently located next to 'Tim's Bar' but it is now getting a bit dated although breakfast good. If you are on a tight budget, try the Hostal Catalina Vera at the back of the Brismar Hotel. It's good but basic and very plain breakfast. We have not stayed at Hotel Mon Port as it is a little more expensive. It is owned by the same company that runs La Pergola Hotel. Both are located a good walk from the centre of town at the back of the marina.
Bars: 'Tims Bar' is OK but not that cheap. Better to try 'Vallentinos' next door and view their art gallery.
Retaurants: 'Porto Bello' is our favourite along with the Chinese (very good set meal for 15 euros) and for the best, try 'Ola' just down from the church.

Great place, great boss. Alex, Rafael and Pepe are first class staff. Great menus, Summer and Winter - very popular with Brits. Best seats in the Port. Wonderful sunsets. Just a great place to be.
