Alhaurin el Grande is a town located in the province of Malaga, 30 kilometres from the capital city and 239 metres above sea level. It is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce river valley and it is situated between the river Fahala and the stream of Blas González.Around the area are a number of golf courses in Europe, many of have restaurant and hotel facilities. The closest courses are Alhaurin Golf & Country Club, Mijas Golf Club, Lauro Golf Club and Torrequebrada Golf.

My dad lives in a small village in Alhaurin El Grande so I go there a lot and spend all my summer there. The weather is always promising and sometimes it gets too hot. There are a lot of places to go to like the swimming pools and there are a lot of bars there as well, like the Irish bar and bar 'Bolin', which is Spanish. The people are friendly and because it's so small you know a lot of people and I have made friends with English, Spanish, Romanian and Russians even.
Because it only 20 minutes away from Fuengirola beach, it's great. The beach is really nice but watch out for the sand as it is hot. There are plenty of bars and food places a round there. I'm going back in February! Can't wait. I think you should have your holiday in Alhaurin El Grande or nearby. You'll like it!
