Blanes Information
The resort of Blanes is the most southerly resort of the Costa Brava and is 50 kilometres south east of Girona airport. This resort is divided into two, with the old Catalan-style architecture in the north and more modern tourist developments towards the south, especially along the beach. The resort centre offers larger stores and boutiques and there are many pine trees and areas of greenery, as well as a garden with park benches and trees along the se front and a botanical garden on the headland.
Evening entertainments consists of a few discos and hotel based events. The resort also features many authentic restaurants. There are regular buses to Lloret de Mar, which is six kilometres up the coast.
