The port and holiday resort of Puerto de Alcudia (Port d'Alcudia) lies on the north east coast of Mallorca at the western end of the Bay of Alcudia. One of the biggest and most popular resorts on the island, Port d'Alcudia has something for everyone - from the resort's long, sandy beach, bars, restaurants and shops, to the ruins of the island's capital in Roman times, the historic old town and the old fishing village, which was the original Port d'Alcudia.The old town of Alcudia is a restored walled city on the site of a Roman settlement, with remains of Roman houses and an amphitheatre. In recent years, the local council has been improving the appearance and general upkeep of the public areas of the town. Within the city there is a maze of narrow streets enclosed by medieval ramparts. The city is entered through one of the two town gates, the Portal de Moll, which has two square towers and two palm trees standing guard, this being the symbol of Alcudia. The area around Alcudia is also very picturesque, especially the Parc Naturel de s'Albufera.
Port d'Alcudia is a popular destination for families and couples without the brash reputation of Magaluf and Palmanova. It has several miles of sandy beach which slopes gradually into the sea, providing a safe environment for families. The beach has been awarded the EC Blue Flag award. The resort has a number of other attractions, which include a water park and go-kart track, as well as bars, shops and restaurants. Evening entertainment is mainly hotel based. However, the resort does have a small number of late night discos and nightclubs.

The Las Delicias in Playa de Muro is a great place to eat. The staff are great and extremely friendly and they were very good with the children. The chef takes the meat from the fridge and cuts your choice. You can then see him cooking the meat, fish on an open grill and all the sauces are made fresh for every order. This was the best restaurant in the area, including the ones we ate in in Alcudia port. I would give this restaurant 20/10. It was great and not over priced.

The Las Delicias in Playa de Muro is a great place to eat. The staff are great and extremely friendly and they were very good with the children. The chef takes the meat from the fridge and cuts your choice. You can then see him cooking the meat, fish on an open grill and all the sauces are made fresh for every order. This was the best restaurant in the area, including the ones we ate in in Alcudia port. I would give this restaurant 20/10. It was great and not over priced.

Though we had a terrible holiday in Alcudia staying at the Bellevue, there was one positive bit about Alcudia - the 'Shine' bar, located down the side street from 'Lunas'. The food was very nice and cheap and the staff, especially Emma, were great. It is definitely a place for families to go as they have 'Scooby Doo' there every night after eight, then a quiz, then bingo and then music. Please go there, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Comic's not only provides a friendly atmosphere, but they also do great food. I'd highly recommend the breakfasts, as they are wonderful. If you're just after a laugh and carry on as you drink, then sit in at the bar. The staff are excellent and friendly.
Matt is a friendly person, who will attempt to make a cocktail or anything if you ask. Markus is the weirder one, who does the quizzes, great laugh and Moyra is an excellent barmaid who's really friendly too. The best bar there (in the port, next to the little Britain supermarket).

I've been going to Alcudia now for several years. I came across the White Rose Family Fun Pub in the early days and found the staff and service excellent. Great choice of food and very good value for money. From the moment you walk in and sit down, Antonio or Sebastian are there to greet you with a smile and take your order. The chef and staff are great fun and will also give you a smile.
Next time you're in Alcudia, give it a visit. It's on the same avenue as Lineka's Bar and behind Sol de Alcudia apartments.

I've been going to Alcudia now for several years. I came across the White Rose Family Fun Pub in the early days and found the staff and service excellent. Great choice of food and very good value for money. From the moment you walk in and sit down, Antonio or Sebastian are there to greet you with a smile and take your order. The chef and staff are great fun and will also give you a smile.

'The Swan', the great British pub was fantastic. When we were there in 2005, Kev was the entertainer and he was absolutely fabulous. The food was second to none, along with karaoke and snail racing and my two children were made extremely welcome and they had a lot of fun joining in the kids' entertainment.
As for the staff, you just couldn't ask for better, in fact my ten year old at the time bought a female member of staff a necklace because she was leaving. He thought she was the be all and end all.
Unfortunately we were unable to go on holiday this year due to me having to have a major operation and not being able to go back to work. I hope to be back at work in January 2008 so hopefully we will be able to afford to go back with our two children next year in July 2008, the first port of call definitely being 'The Swan'.

We went to Alcudia five years ago and also this year, the last two weeks of June 2006. The 'Peach Pit' is still as lovely and the staff are still the same and still as good with the kids.
