Palma Nova Information
The resorts of Palma Nova (Palmanova) and Magaluf are situated on the island's south west coast at the western end of Palma Bay. Transfer time from the airport is about 20 to 30 minutes. Although technically the dividing point between Palma Nova and Magaluf is still somewhere on the rocky headland between the two beaches, the two resorts have, over the years, grown to the point where they now effectively merge into one, although of the two resorts Palma Nova is slightly quieter and is perhaps more suited to families.
During the high season, night life is vibrant and attracts a large number of young British and European tourists. There are many English style pubs, along with clubs and discos which, in the summer, rarely close before dawn.
Both Palma Nova and Magaluf have sandy beaches with everything on hand. Water sports, glass bottom boat trips, as well as shops, bars and restaurants all located along the wide traffic free promenades. There are many popular fast food restaurants, as well as a number of more traditional cafes and restaurants along the seafront in Palma Nova.

If you really want home-made good quality food, you must eat here. 'O'Neill's' is not the most picturesque bar or even the cheapest, but from breakfast through lunch to evening dinner the food is excellent! We have eaten there for over ten years and have never sent a meal back!
Staff can sometimes be on the surly side because they are constantly busy but have the chicken, leek and ham pie and who cares! The owners work hard at keeping customers happy and soon recognise repeat visitors. Make sure you try the desserts and the full English breakfast is massive.

Oh no! What's happened to bar 'Olas'? It's no where near the same. Totally lost it's atmosphere and place looked dirty compared to how it used to look. Oh Colin, you're going to be missed so much. We understand that it's family and they come first so we shall be giving it a miss from now on unless Colin returns.

We stayed in the Ola Panama Hotel (all inclusive). The hotel may be quite basic but the food was of a high standard and the rooms clean and pest free! The staff couldn't be faulted either, so if you're looking for a cheap holiday with a great location and clean rooms go there!
The beach is gorgeous and safe! Sunbeds 4.5 euros per day. Great for snorkelling or safe swimming and they keep the beaches lovely and clean! Take a walk along the beach and there are any number of cafes or bars to eat and drink in! The 'Blue Bar' (around where the jet skis are) is one of the best! Great food, great music and very friendly staff! 'Banana Joe's' is a good place for the younger crowd - very lively and fun!
The Ola Panama offered taster goes on jet skis, para gliding, horse riding, diving and banana rides, all at six euros each! We did the jet skiing and paragliding and it was brilliant (normal cost of hiring a jet ski is 60 euros!?!)
You can easily walk into Magaluf for even more entertainment - loads of night clubs, restaurants and bars. It's more for the younger crowd but good fun! And if you've had one or five too many, not too far to walk back! All in all a really great place to stay and well worth every penny!

We found this great bar from another review before we went to Palma Nova and found it easily from the description given - It's opposite 'Banana Joe's' and down the side of the HBBV bank.
Jeannie & Graham are a really friendly couple from Yorkshire, and made us feel really welcome. The bar prices are good and they have Carling which comes in a proper Carling glass! We spent every night of our week holiday in there, can't wait to go back!

We went to this bar when we stayed at the Bermudas hotel a few years ago and enjoyed a couple of evenings there. Went there the first day of our holiday this year and were surprised to find new owners (hadn't read the reviews before we went this time). What can I say? We enjoyed it with the old owners but this time it was 100% better. Jeannie and Graham made us very welcome and we ended up going there every day. P G Tips tea, good food and superb sangria. Will definitely go back there when we return to Palma Nova in May.

Oh my goodness! How lovely are Jeannie and Graham! So genuinely kind, they made us feel really welcome and are so so caring. I also had a really bad turn while I was in here and they really looked after me.
The cheap beer is just a bonus with service like this. The food here is also really really nice. I hated the all inclusive food in the hotel so I came here everyday and cannot fault it. All the food's English too which is great. Bacon butties are lush but the toasties are my favourite. Not sure when I'll be back in Mallorca but I'll be coming to see them when I do. Definitely! Highly recommended.

Myself and a mate stumbled quite literally upon Graham and Jeanne's bar quite by accident.
I have never been abroad before and felt so welcome. They are a great couple and so, so, so welcoming. Many a night/afternoon was spent there, chattering to both Jeanne and Graham and and anyone else who was lucky enough to make an appearance.
The Carling is to die for and the prices are great.
So anyone after a friendly/affordable/chilled evening in Palma Nova I would suggest you pay them a visit. Thanks for the great times, both of you.

Bar Olas is a fantastic little bar. I have visited this bar every year for the last six years. Granted, I was shocked to find new owners once again but I thought 'let's give it a go'. In my two weeks stay at the Don Bigote, I spent every night and drunk many a pint of Stowford Press cider at Bar Olas.
The new owners are like a breath of fresh air to a what seemed to be a running down bar. Jeannie and Graham made us feel so welcome. If three was a prize for the hosts of the year, then it should go to them. What wonderful people you are. Keep up the good work and good luck. See you next year. Look forward to your quiz nights.

This is definitely not to be missed. If you go to no other shows this you need to see. This spectacular show is as exiting for adults as it is for kids. The acrobatics are second to none - absolutely brill! So this is a must, well worth the money. Also pay the little extra for quarter deck, the kids will love it. Go and enjoy!
