HotelStreet guest rating of Benalmadena (from 37 hotel reviews and 1 Benalmadena review). |
Benalmadena is split into three distinct areas: Benalmadena Pueblo (the old village which has preserved many of its original narrow, cobbled streets and whitewashed houses), Arroyo de La Miel (the commercial town centre separating the village on the hill from the sea front) and Benalmadena Costa (the coastal area with many hotels, beaches and the marina). The promenade stretches across the Benalmadena area and there are bars and restaurants all along the sea front, as well as a number of Moorish watchtowers and the Arab-style Castle del Bil-Bil, used for conferences, concerts and exhibitions.
The resort offers a variety of restaurants, from fast food to original tapas and local cuisine, bars, English, Scottish and Irish pubs, most of which have live big screen sporting events and night life. Benalmadena also offers the Tivoli World amusement park which has themed Wild West and flamenco shows, the Jardin de Las Aguilas bird of prey sanctuary, Selwo Marina dolphinarium and the Sea Life Centre at the marina which has a shark collection.
