Kos or Cos is a Greek island in the south Sporades group of the Dodecanese, next to the Gulf of Gökova/Cos. It measures 40 by eight kilometres and is only four kilometres from the coast of Bodrum, Turkey and the ancient region of Caria. It is comprised of three municipalities: Kos, the administrative centre and largest town, Dikaio and Irakleides. The shores of Kos on the Aegean Sea offer 112 kilometres of coastline.
