Review title: "Brilliant"
Travel date: July 2005
Myself, my husband and my two children stayed here in July 2005. We found the area ideal for families. The apartments were nice and clean with a medium sized pool. The pool bar was owned by a family who were very friendly. There were lots of things to do and I would recommend a day trip on the coast on the catalaza. The water park, markets, scuba diving were also excellent. We had a brilliant holiday with friendly people and lots of things to do!

Advice: Set aside a few euros for taxi back home to the hotel when walking down to Puerto Rico. There are no buses, but taxis are very reasonable, and even from the hotel area an available taxi seems to pass by all the time. You may also rent a car in the hotel lobby.

Review title: "Had A Ball At The Molino de Guatiza"
Travel date: July 2004
We stayed at the Molino in July 2004. There was myself, my wife and our two youngest daughters. When we arrived at the apartments, we were a bit wary as they are located in a residential area, a bit quiet and thought we were in for a naff time. Were we wrong! Paul and Jayne and their three sons made us feel so welcome. We met a lot of lovely people, they did not care that we came from Eire. We all mixed so well. We made friends with an English couple called Mike and Lorraine and their children, a Scottish couple Monica and Adam and their two children. We had a marvellous time and had several house parties at ours of course.

We loved the resort and the B.B.Qs. They are on on a Wednesday night. Don't miss these - they are great. We loved it so much we are going back in July into August of 2005. Our eldest son and his fiancée and the chap and his wife and son who works with my wife are coming too. You must be there too! 100% satisfaction is guaranteed. We would recommend these apartments to everybody and the resort is to die for.

Review title: "Old And Rundown"
Travel date: June 2004
Normally I love my holidays in the Canary Islands and look forward to them with much excitement but sadly on this occasion I was badly let down. Myself and partner and two children arrived late at night, around 11 p.m. We were with one other couple and we all looked at each other as if to say 'Oh my goodness, what is this?'

The reception gave us our keys and promptly disappeared. We found our apartment ground floor after requesting top floor (there were plenty of empty top floor rooms). Anyway, rooms were very basic, a bit smelly and not at all comfortable. The plugs didn't fit the sinks, the hot water lasted ten minutes - just enough for a very quick shower.

This place was not at all welcoming. 10 a.m. every morning the music around the pool area went on. This would go on all day. The pool measured around 20 feet long, not big at all. The maid lived on the complex. She came in most days and changed our sheets once in the two weeks we were there!

The area we stayed in was nice. The beach wasn't far to walk with some good shops and restaurants. All in all I would not recommend the Molino de Guatiza apartments. They are old, in need of a lick of paint and just not inviting and not cheap either! £1500 for the fortnight was a total waste of money. Never again.

Review title: "Molino de Guatiza Apartments -Fantastic!"
Travel date: June 2004
What can I say - the place is wonderful! When my boyfriend told me I was going on holiday to Lanzarote I was so happy (my first time abroad). When we arrived at Molino de Guatiza we were so happy to be there, we didn't really care what the apartment was like, but it was lovely and clean. It had everything we needed for what we needed it for!

Then we met Paul and Jane, the English couple who run it. They were so nice, giving us advice and lovely food and a good supply of drinks!!! It was every thing we had dreamed of especially as I had my birthday over there!!

It was so good we have decided to go back this year and I just can't wait!! It was a holiday of a lifetime for me and my boyfriend. Paul, Jane, Alex, Tom and Jack were all great and they really made our holiday, especially at the BBQ they had on a Wednesday night where all the guests could get together and have a laugh with prizes and forfeits!!! We loved it and we will never forget them! We highly recommend them. They get 100%.
