The four star Sol Piramide Salou Hotel is situated in the resort centre of Salou, just 400 metres from the beach and 1,500 metres from the theme park PortAventura.
This Sol hotel was opened in June 2002. It has 230 rooms - 130 twin rooms (50 of them adjoining and suitable for families), 90 triple rooms, five junior suites and five rooms for disabled people. All rooms have exterior views with a terrace and feature a bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning, telephone in bedroom and bathroom, internet connection, satellite television, mini bar and safety deposit box.
Facilities at the Sol Piramide Salou include a buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with show cooking and theme nights, snack bar in the pool area, bar café, fun pub in the entertainment lounge, panoramic lift and indoor car park. The hotel also features two outdoor swimming pools, one of them for children, fitness centre, jacuzzis, entertainment lounge, television room and games room. It provides a varied daytime and evening entertainment programme, including a mini club for children and shows or music live in the evening. There is bingo as well as competitions organised by the entertainment staff, such as table tennis, pool, darts and water polo.
Board basis available at this hotel is half board.

Night time entertainment for the younger kids was great if a little late - 9 p.m. and same for the meals - choice was excellent but again very late sittings for those with really young kids. However, I thought the quality was ok and suited all tastes. I personally would have preferred a more Spanish menu but all guests were catered for and the waiter service was excellent. The pool and bar area were great although a bit on the cool side as the sun hit it late but lovely and clean.
Overall the Sol Piramide Salou is a lovely, clean friendly hotel with an excellent location.

We stayed at the Sol Piramide Hotel for eight days in July 2008. This was our first holiday in Spain as a family and we enjoyed everything about our stay there.
The cleanliness in the hotel was of a good standard and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The young men who organised the children's entertainment were great fun and put lots of effort into organising enjoyable activities. We were 'half board' during our stay and there was a wide range of food at both breakfast and dinner - plenty of fresh fruits always available. I would be happy to stay at Sol Piramide Hotel again.

Have just come back from the Sol Piramide in Salou. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff were extremely polite and friendly, the food was fantastic (I'm quite fussy) and the rooms and general areas of the hotel were spotless.
The hotel is located in a quiet area within about ten minutes stroll to the beach which was very clean. I will definately be going back.
