Review title: "Nightmare"
Travel date: May 2009
ITook a group of 28 people to this hotel. It was awful, to say the least. Our group was mainly middle aged people to pensioners. Hen and stag nights are all that is catered for.

The food was OK the first day, then rapidly went down hill as the week progressed. Rooms very basic - clean but holes in doors and doors hanging off. Very noisy all night. Food fights (dodge the pizza boxes in the corridors) - at least the drunks had sense and got takeaways, I suppose, people flashing at people and urinating over the balcony.

Staff were OK though. Very steep bank to the hotel and then loads of steps. Not suitable at all for anyone with any kind of difficulties walking. All these aspects ruined what should have been a good holiday. Will never stay at the Honolulu again.

For anyone up for a laugh, getting drunk and pure clubbing, stay here. Full of young people up for anything and a mint time. Right on the doorstep to everything, I went with loads of girls and lads, all mates. Best holiday we've been on. Going again June 2007.

Review title: "Pretty Good"
Travel date: January 2006
My wife and I thought we would have a week's break after the excesses of Christmas and New Year, so we booked a week all inclusive at the Honolulu. After reading some iffy reviews on a few sites, we began to have second thoughts, but we needn't have worried, the Honolulu is pretty good.

Sure, there is a bit of an incline but it's not as bad as some people make out. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and courteous, the food was good and varied although a few guests had a moan about it. What do they expect for £200, cordon bleu every day?

There are two good bars, 'Eastenders' and the 'Prince William', just outside the hotel, that are open till 6 a.m., with plenty more a short walk away, but being all inclusive, we tended to make the most of the hotel bar, in which the evening entertainment was passable.

The only downside was the numbers of people staying for two days who were on 'ciggy runs' and got paralytic in as short a time as possible, but they didn't bother anybody, so everyone to their own.

All in all, we had a great week, met some fantastic people and would have no hesitation staying there again.

Review title: "The Worst Ever Place - Don't Go"
Travel date: October 2005
It's the worst place on the planet to stay. It was like a living nightmare for two week. The food, well, if you are on a diet, you will be fine. The best thing about the holiday was catching the plane home and shouting 'thank goodness'!
