"Apartments From Hell!"

Stayed here for one week and hated the place! The mattress is a pure spring unit - we bought lilos to sleep on! Teenagers running riot all night and morning with competitions to see who had louder music!
Charges for toaster, iron, kettle and even air conditioning and it's not even strong enough to cool the kitchen! I saw cleaners preparing the room next door for new victims and they paint over the dirt rather than clean it! Also, we were only given one roll of toilet paper so go handy!
Pool closes at seven which is crazy. Just really trust me on this one. Don't stay at the Holiday Park!

"Holiday 'From Hell' Park Apartments"
Travel date:

My short lived stay at this Holiday Park hotel was one that definately requires me to write a bad review on the place! When we complained that we hadn't received enough towels and linen as we were promised, as we were a group of seven girls (aged between mid 20s and 40 and mainly primary school teachers), we were treated as children and they tried intimidating us which worked as one of our girlfriends was asked to leave the hotel on her own. We were obviously disgusted about the way in which we were all treated and so we all ended up leaving the apartments to find better accommodation where the staff had some customer service skills and were able to resolve a customers problem rather than attacking customers and throwing them out because we were female and they were abusing their authority.
I would never recommend this hotel if you are going away for a relaxing week and some sun, like we were. We weren't even allowed to take our own white towels down to the pool for fear of the 'pool patrol police' coming along and accusing us of bringing their towels down to the pool. The same goes for a bottle of water that we brought from our room where we were made a spectacle of which was quite embarrassing in front of a crowded poolside and hundreds of children. Not the kind of place I would ever visit or recommend even if I was desperate for accommodation. I'd rather sleep on the beach!
As it was, we moved to a hotel a few doors away called the Deya which was far more pleasant and better located as well as having polite and friendly staff who provided all the linen and towels we needed

"Holiday Park Is Average"
Travel date:

Did not really know what to expect when arriving at the Holiday Park but it is not the worst. Way too many steps though. There were at least five flights of stairs to the apartment we were in, bit of a killer on the legs.
If you want to drink around the pool, you have to buy everything from them. They will not let you bring you own drink or food down which is seriously annoying!
The best thing is that you are in the centre of everything. All the pubs and night clubs are right beside the apartments. Brilliant night life but nothing to do during the day so stock your apartments up with plenty of booze. Shops right across the road, drink is for nothing.
Would really recommend you go to 'Simply's' bar. Savage spot when the night gets going. Some hotties around so make sure you are single!

"Cheap And Cheerful Holiday Park"

We stayed here in May 2005. We had a room by the pool which was good, otherwise you have loads of steps to climb if you are up the hill and there is no lift. They were ok for this time of year as it wasn't too crowded round the pool.
Santa Ponsa is a great resort full of Irish bars and people and it's got a lovely beach. For entertainment for the younger children, head up to the square and it is all outdoors. Would go to Santa Ponsa again maybe in different accommodation.

"Excellent Location"

Santa Ponsa is absolutely brilliant. I went for two weeks in July/August 2004. I was eighteen and went with my friend, also eighteen. It is in the best location ever, all the bars are on the same street. There are three nightclubs. Loads of lovely places to eat at reasonable prices. Very friendly people, girls will love this holiday as when we went the place was populated with single Irish fellas. Most people in Santa Ponsa are Irish. It is very good for families also. The beach is lovely with lots of watersports to do. I had such a great time and it is a well recommended holiday.
The apartments were basic but welcoming. The staff were friendly and the maids came often with clean towels etc.

These apartments are very basic but clean with towels and sheets changed regularly. The kitchen utensils were almost non exsitent ie. one wooden spoon, two pans and a chopping board and not much else! The cooking facilities are two electric rings which take an age to heat up. My advice would be - don't cater, eat out as there are dozens of bars, cafes, etc close by.
Lots of steep steps too, so not ideal for elderly or disabled folk. Ideal base for beach and nightlife.
