The three star Esmeralda Hotel is situated at the entrance of the Cuidadela port. It is just 500 metres away from the town and on the seafront.
The Esmeralda has 158 rooms in a four storey building, all with two double beds, bathroom, television, air-conditioning, telephone, balcony or terrace and daily cleaning service.
Facilities at the hotel include a garden area with sun terraces, swimming pool for adults and children, courtesy bus service to the beach and 24 hour reception offering money exchange. The hotel works on an all inclusive basis and there is a non-smoking buffet restaurant as well as a snack bar by the swimming pool. The hotel offers a varied entertainment programme by day and night, run by the hotel's own entertainment team, with shows, live music, cabaret and disco. Sporting facilities at the Esmeralda include tennis, volleyball, table games, table tennis, basketball, water polo, aerobics, skittles, archery and pistol shooting.

We booked in February 2007 to go here for our 2007 Summer Holiday. There were five adults and two children. When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by the holiday rep who informed us we were to move to a different hotel because the Esmeralda Hotel was being demolished to make way for flats. Most of the staff had left due to their contracts not being renewed so they were working on skeleton staff.
We were moved to the Cala'n Bosch hotel in Cala'n Bosch which I must say was a very nice surprise for a three sgtar hotel. We were close to the harbour and right on the beach so if looking for an all inclusive hotel, I would recommend it to all.

Me and my boyfriend went on a one week fully inclusive holiday to Esmeralda hotel, Menorca. I would say that this would best suit a family holiday. We as a couple didn't really join in with the entertainment as most of it was children orientated. However, the food, hotel room and building itself was ten out of ten.
The people working there were all friendly and willing to help with any concerns we may have had. Food was of a high standard and plenty of options to choose from. The beer, spirits, and wines were all of a high standard and most importantly they were all included in the all inclusive deal!! Cocktails (e.g. Tequila Sunrise) were available in the offer from 7 pm till midnight which is brilliant as that is the time I would say you do most drinking!! This is definitely somewhere I would consider going back to, and for families a definite must!

We had a great time at the hotel last year. Food was not brilliant (we have been spoilt on previous holidays) but we never went hungry though. Hotel nice and clean and not far from the lovely port. Beautiful views. Good entertainment.
