"Now The Altair Apartments"
Travel date:
November 2008
The Altair apartments were done up last year and they are basic but good. The only problem was the noise. As you are only 300 metres from the main strip and shopping centre, the nightclubs kept us awake until 4 a.m. every night. We were told it was a quiet resort and it is - during the day! Don't go near here if you are looking for a peaceful week. It would give Playa del Ingles a run for it's money.

"Great Holiday"
Travel date:
October 2008
After reading so many bad things about this hotel, my boyfriend and I were dreading going to this hotel. We arrived on the 4th October until the 18th October. I just want to say how nice these apartments were. They were a four star to me, not a one star. The rooms were spacious and clean and decorated very well. The pool area was very nice with good views over Puerto Rico.
I would go back to the apartments again. They are the best I have stayed in. Also, they changed their name when we was there to Altair apartments. Cleaners changed our beds twice a week and cleaned five times a week.

"Don't Expect Luxury"

The hotel is situated half way up a hill, has a lovely view over the town but unfortunately has a lot of steps down to it!
The apartments were very basic with a kettle, toaster, two rings and small fridge! We had a few problems with ants and cockroaches. Maids came the odd day and i think we got the sheets changed twice in one week. Asking for toilet roll seemed to be a bit of a chore for them!
The Nevada apartments are OK for a budget holiday but I wouldn't be going back to it.

"Nevada Apartments Were Great"
Travel date:

The Nevada apartments are what I would describe as basic but clean and tidy and for the length of time you need to stay in the apartments, they are ideal. I wouldn't recommend these apartments for the elderly, however, for the young its a great base - close to all the night life, the bars and restaurants and although the apartments are situated in a high location, what do the young care when they are having a good time?
Overall I would describe the apartments as basic but ideal for a great holiday.

"Fantastic Time"

When taking an allocation on arrival holiday, I was very nervous. When we arrived at the Nevada I was thinking, what sort of dump have we been given.
On entering the apartment, I was pleasantly surprised. It was spotless, a great size and great kitchen facilities. I was really impressed.
It is ideally located to the commercial centre which is at the bottom of about 100 odd steps. There is obvious noise from the centre at night but it did not bother our group once. Nightly we would sit on the balcony and look at what was going on below. The staff we lovely and really helpful, especially the bar staff! I can't wait to go back and I would definitely stay at the Nevada again.

"Nevada Apartments Not So Great"
Travel date:
September 2007
Just back from Puerto Rico and stayed in the Nevada. They were OK. Pool area was terrible - they had tiles missing from the pool, inside and out. Pool bar was never open past six p.m. and food was horrid.
The apartments were clean and spacious but we had a few cockroaches!
The location was great for the young and lively but if you were back in the apartment before 3 a.m. the music from the strip is very loud. But all that said, Puerto Rico was great and I will be returning but not to the Nevada.

"Nevada "
Travel date:
September 2007
Me and my friend arrived at the Nevada apartments on the 15th of September 2007. We entered the apartment and were pleasantly surprised as I'd read up on a few reviews before arriving and was basically not looking forward to my stay.
We found the staff very helpful and friendly, the apartment was clean and yes, very basic, but hey, you only get your head down!
We had a fantastic time. In fact, we just used the Cala d'Or next door in the day as lots more going on with entertainment etc! Pool better than Nevada. The Nevada is getting a refurbishment and I believe Cala d'Or has actually bought Nevada, so I might even be tempted to go back next year just to see what the refit is like! And, of course, to see if the lads from Sheffield are in Puerto Rico again same time next year! Yee ha, bring on my next holiday. Bye!

Had a really fab time at the Nevada. Not too busy not too far to walk to the centre and the walk to the beach was pleasant.
Rooms were clean and well equipped. Would definitely revisit.

"Things Have Changed!"
Travel date:
March 2006
I think another review was either quite harsh or things have greatly changed so I thought I would put the record straight!
My husband and I have just got back from a seven night holiday at the Nevada and enjoyed every single minute! Our only slight complaints were the heat and the noise from the town but that can hardly be held against the Nevada!
The staff couldn't do enough to help and the apartments and complex in general were clean and tidy. As for the cats, yes there are cats, but there are cats all over Puerto Rico so if you don't like cats don't go to Puerto Rico. They stay away from you and are far too timid to ever venture near your apartment. The atmosphere in the bar was great and that was mostly due to the compere and the bar staff getting everyone chatting.
We left the Nevada with lots of new friends and some fabulous memories and wouldn't hesitate to go again!

Been to Nevada apartments twice already and visiting again May 07. It's a very friendly and relaxing complex. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and good breakfasts. The views are amazing from the balconies. So bring on my next visit.

"Stayed Here"
Travel date:
August 2001
These apartments were awful. Me and my boyfriend stayed here only for two nights. We were on a two week holiday and lasted two nights in the Nevada. The apartments were really dirty, staff weren't friendly. We asked to be moved and we ended up moving ourselves as the rep didn't want to know. Luckily we had enough money to check in some where else.
If you are staying here, watch out for the cats. They are everywhere - on your balcony and in your room. The pool was very dirty. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. They should not even be in any brochures. Honestly, people, do yourselves a favour and don't ever book here. It's awful.
