The Macael apartments had everything we needed for our two week stay. They were clean and spacious. It was a five minute walk from the beach, shops and bars/resturants.
We had three children with us from the ages of four to 12 and they all had a great time playing in the pool, which was also lovely. We shall be returning next year!
Top tip: Be sure to pop into the 'Miners' bar, on the high street two minutes away from the pharmacy, for a great night with a warm and friendly family atmosphere.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Macael Apartments. The apartments and pool area were spotless. Only complaint was that the towels and bed linen were only changed once in the week.
Staff were very friendly and worked hard. The location was very close to the main strip. I didn't eat at the complex as we went out to local restaurants.
There is a vast choice of bars and restaurants to suit everyone in Roquetas de Mar. The resort is very Spanish with everything closing between 1 – 5 p.m. for siesta.
The beach is about ten minute walk away and is shingly. The resort is quite quiet and would suit families looking for a relaxing stay.

The Macael apartments are spacious, bright, nicely decorated with everything you need. We were lucky and had a garden and were always in the shade so the apartment never got too hot. Only thing that let it down were the flies (all around Roquetas) and cockroaches (specific to our apartment unfortunately).
Maid service once a week. Reception only open for short periods each day. You have to pay for loungers by the pool but its well worth it. One of the nicest pools around with a baby one, waterfalls, a friendly bar area and the loungers are padded so they're really comfortable.
Local area is lively once you find where to go and it's worth the walk along the coast to the harbour where you can get great food and fantastic views. Enjoy, we did.

Had a cosy apartment in the Macael and everything was well kept inside and out. Beautiful swimming pool. Shops and the beach was near by.

I've stayed in these apartments for the last six years and they are lovely and spacious, clean and a nice area. The gardens are kept nice. There is a small play area and baby pool, also a large pool with an island in the middle. They are in the middle of the urbanisation in a little road..
