Hotel La Residencia

Between the Mediterranean and the Tramuntana mountains stands the La Residencia Hotel, in the resort of Deia. The hotel consists of two manor houses dating from the 15th and 17th centuries, restored and furnished with Spanish antiques, local fabrics and local art.

The La Residencia has suites located in the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. Suite 66 has a plasma screen television, DVD, video and open fireplace. The bedroom has a bathroom with dressing area, a separate toilet and shower areas. Leading off from the lounge is a terrace with private swimming pool, outdoor dining area and a covered pergola with seating. It is the most private of the suites because of its situation on the very top of the Son Fony building. Suite 61 is situated in the Son Fony building and has a lounge area, plasma screen television, DVD, video and open fireplace. The terrace and garden area provides a covered seating area plus a plunge pool with views across towards the village and sea. Suite 67 has access from the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. It is located laterally, with views over the village of Deià and the Tramuntana mountains. There is a terrace area with private swimming pool, bedroom area with four poster bed and a separate lounge with kitchenette. It is an ideal suite for privacy and relaxation. Suite 64 is a superior suite situated in the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. It has a bedroom with a bathroom and a separate lounge area with a terrace leading off it with views towards the Tramuntana mountains. This room has views from the bedroom towards the village and views from the lounge towards the village and the mountains. The tower suite is situated in the tower, the oldest part of the hotel building and thought to have been first built by the Templar Knights. Built as a watchtower it has views in all directions providing a panorama of the mountains, village and sea. This suite is on two levels and access is by a stone spiral staircase. On the first floor is a bedroom and bathroom, both with views and the staircase continues upwards to the top floor where there is a lounge area with an outdoor private sun terrace. The suite is very popular with honeymoon couples.

The hotel's 'El Olivo' restaurant occupies what was once an olive press. The old pressing stones still remain. The restaurant chefs produce gourmet dishes using local fresh produce. The beauty salon is in the leisure house with a spa with six treatment rooms, four of which have a private outdoor massage area. During the whole year, the hotel organises specific beauty packages.
