Review title: "Nice Hotel "
Travel date: July 2007
I went to Gran Bali Hotel last summer, 2007. The hotel is very pretty but the food was awful and the entertainment was disgusting - it was the same entertainment every night! One of the entertainments was kids on stage starting to strip.

There were no shops nearby. A waiter in the hotel was very rude and nasty and was swearing. You had to pay money to go on to the roof to see a view of Spain. The guy in the gift shop was lovely - he always had a smile on his face and would blow up your lilo with a machine for free.

The food was mainly for Spanish people. Some of the pool lights were hanging off - I don't recommend it for kids.

Review title: "Good Value For Money For Myself, Husband And two Children"
Travel date: July 2007
Just returned from the Gran Bali with my husband and two small children. Only down side of the whole holiday was waiting for the room. Arrived at the hotel at 10.30 a.m. and was told that our room wasn't ready. They said come back about 2.30 but didn't actually get into room until 3.40 p.m. Had no swimwear for kids, towels to hand. I spoke to a rep who sorted out the problem and from then on the holiday was excellent.

We had two rooms on the seventh floor and the view was brilliant. Food was a buffet. Read the reviews and was a bit worried but I thought food was OK, no different to any other hotel I've been in abroad. Sometimes did get a bit boring. A lot of chips but always managed to find something to eat.

All in all a very good value for money holiday for my family. Booked last minute and had a good deal.

Hotel is full of Spanish and entertainment is run by the Spanish. Didn't see anything at night, ventured out of the hotel. Drinks quite expensive in the hotel so get yourself the discount by using your room card and adding money onto it which lasts you through the holiday.

Definitely recommend going in the lift which is on the outside of the hotel. I don't like heights at all but well worth a look across Benidorm. Lifts can sometimes get very busy and you can be waiting a while. This is due to the amount of people staying there, normally busier at meal times.

We went half board. Pools were nice - tend to get shadier in the afternoon due to the tall buildings surrounding them. I think this is more of a hotel for couples and older families. Entertainment could have been better if Airtours had put a family club there. Still think for our money it was a good holiday though!

Review title: "Gran Bali - Good Hotel"
Travel date: July 2007
Gran Bali is a nice hotel but the food was terribl. If you have children it is not the place to go - food is all catered for Spanish. Went full board with wife and and grandchildren - cost a fortune eating out - wish I had taken notice of food reviews.

Travel date: August 2006
The hotel was incredible! It was so clean ant comfortable I felt I was back home! I have travelled all over the world and I have never found a hotel which has topped the Bali yet! I've liked it so much we have booked it again for this July!

Review title: "Gran Bali Hotel Is Top Class"
Travel date: January 2005
Stayed in January 2005 with my wife. Top class throughout. A little way out of the resort centre but makes up for that with the facilities on offer. Booked the same hotel again this year.

It is advisable to book transfers from the airport in advance as taxis are expensive and the bus service is poor.
