The three key Sol Timor complex is an apartment building located in the Montemar area of Torremolinos, close to the Puerto Marina harbour and only ten minutes from the famous 'La Carihuela' with its numerous beach-side restaurants specialising in local fish dishes. It is only five kilometres from the airport and four kilometres from the centre of Torremolinos with regular buses every 30 minutes.
The Sol Timor complex provides 341 apartments and studios, two swimming pools (one for adults and one for children), two tennis courts, buffet-restaurant, coffee shop, snack-bar, supermarket, souvenir shops and hairdresser. The hotel also provides a cyber café. The restaurant serves a hot and cold buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also provides an à la carte menu in the restaurant/cafeteria. During the summer months (May-September), guests may also enjoy a beach restaurant, offering a variety of salads, warm menus and desserts as well as the traditional 'paella' rice dish and in the evenings, a barbecue grill serving meats, fish and seafood. There is also a poolside terrace serving snacks, as well as a cafeteria and discotheque. This Sol complex stands in gardens and also features such facilities such as a shopping centre with self-service laundry, hairdresser, souvenirs, jewellery and china. The supermarket opens seven days a week from 09.00 to 21.00 hours.
The Sol Timor complex offers an entertainment programme with a range of activities for adults and children of all ages. Every evening, there are professional shows in the lounge bar and also performances and fun organised by the hotel entertainment team. During the day, adults can try their hand at a choice of sports and activities including things like pistol shooting, darts and bowls. In summer, there is a mini-club for the children and special children's shows put on twice a week.
Each apartment at the Sol Timor complex has a sea view. All of the apartments and studios have a bathroom, central heating in winter, telephone, satellite television, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, kitchenette and terrace.
Board basis available at these apartments is self catering, bed and breakfast or half board.

Apartments are quite basic but with everything you need right at your fingertips. Very clean. New towels etc. every second day. Ten minute walk from 24 hour square. Lovely pubs and restaurants nearby. Excellent views from all rooms.
Only disadvantage was that our room had two single beds as do most, so if you want a double, make sure you state that or else it's easy enough just to move the beds together like we did. Over all, great holiday. Would definitely go back to the Sol Timor.

I thought the Sol Timor was a very energetic hotel. It provided entertainment for all ages throughout the day. I was never bored and looked forward to the shows at night. There was also a disco at night. The entertainment team were brilliant and very friendly they made me and my friends feel very welcome.
The apartments were clean and provided us with everything we needed. The reception staff were also friendly and were keen to help.
Me and my friends are actually looking into booking another stay here in September again because we enjoyed it that much.

There was also a disco at night. The entertainment team were brilliant and very friendly they made me and my friends feel very welcome.
The apartments were clean and provided us with everything we needed. The reception staff were also friendly and were keen to help.
Me and my friends are actually looking into booking another stay here in September again because we enjoyed it that much.

I there last week in August and noise from late night revellers was not a problem. The marina is a must see as is St. Miguel in Torremolinos. The shops and restaurants cater for all tastes and budgets. The promenade is beautiful to walk down at night with lots of people there enjoying a post dinner stroll. We loved the area so much we didn't go on any day trips. We had such fun swimming in the sea, the waves were a riot and other days the sea was very calm. Can't wait for next year.
