The Fuengirola Beach Apartments are located half a kilometre from the beach and the resort centre, on the banks of the Fuengirola River.
The Fuengirola Beach complex consists of 156 apartments (121 one bedroom, 30 two bedroom and five suites). All apartments have a separate twin bedroom, a bathroom in marble, kitchenette with microwave, fridge and two cooking rings, lounge area with satellite television, telephone, air-conditioning, central heating, safety deposit box (at an extra charge) and furnished balcony with pool view or facing the 16th century Sohail Castle. The one bedroom apartments accommodate up to four adults (two twin beds and two sofa beds) and a child (under 12 years old) in a sofa bed. The two bedroom apartments accommodate up to six adults (two bedrooms with two twin beds each and two sofa beds) and a child (under 12 years old) in a sofa bed. The suites accommodate up to four people. They have the same setting as the one bedroom apartments, but with a larger lounge, a separate kitchen and a terrace with sun beds and views.
Facilities at the Fuengirola Beach complex include 24 hour reception, buffet restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, bar, 'La Taberna' pub (only for adults), pool snack bar (weather permitting), swimming pool, children's pool, multi sports court, games room, mini market, launderette, children's club (during the summer season) and courtesy room with shower.
Board basis available at these apartments is self catering.

The Fuengirola Beach was very good value for money when we stayed in February. Don't know if it is worth the hotel brochure price though. Hotel is stuck outside of main Fuengirola town.
Warning: train stations have 'very' steep steps to platforms and the escalator only operates while train is in station. Don't do what we did as we ended up collapsed on the escalator (wife badly shaken and bruised). Very dangerous is the access to the railway.

This is reflected in the cost of a holiday here. It is value for money and I would certainly return for here for a winter break. I imagine that in summer it would be ideal for young families who want a quiet holiday.

My family had a fantastic time when we went to the Fuengirola Beach in October. I have four kids ages from 12 to 17. They all had a fantastic time and had so much to do. The entertainment was fab. (James the entertainer for First Choice was so funny and made our holiday). My hubby and myself hardly saw the kids because they made so many friends so we decided to book up again and are coming back this October and hopefully it will be as good as the one we had in 2007.

Overall, from when I stayed at Fuengirola, I thought it was good. If you're going with a family and you're around 15 yrs old and have young people going with you, then my advice is to bring someone the same age.
