The five star Carlton Hotel is located in the centre of Bilbao's financial and business area. Constructed in 1919 and recently refurbished, the building has been declared an architecturally historical cultural monument. It is situated nine kilometres from Bilbao airport and 120 kilometres from Fuenterrabia Airport. The civil government, county council and town hall buildings are all situated within a few minutes of the hotel and it is 15 minutes from the trade fair and San Mamés Park.

Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, cafe/bar, business centre, gym, spa and wi-fi internet access. There are eight conference, meeting and banquet rooms from 24 to 260 square metres. A garage is provided for use by guests.
