"Cala Martina Apartments"
Travel date:
July 2005
We booked the Cala Martina Apartments last minute via directholidays.com. (My Travel) I was a little sceptical as the price was very reasonable, you always fear the worse!
The apartments are very clean and tidy and are adequately furnished. The kitchen consists of : gas rings, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, all very functional, clean and presentable.
Lovely sea views from rooftop terrace which every apartment has, as well as own balcony. No problems with mosquito's. The beach was nice, clean with good beachside facilities. You can walk along the cliffs to Sta Eulalia or the other way to Es Cana, both very nice resorts!
We ate out mainly and found the prices to be slightly cheaper than the UK, but the prices are creeping up. I would serious recommend a car if staying in this location, because you can see so much more very easily, also the local supermarkets can be pricey! One large shop at the Syp Eroski centre on the way into Sta Eulalia will go along way to funding your vehicle! Other resorts and beaches we visited worthy of a mention are Cala Longa, Ibiza old town, San Antonio (daytime!) and a must for surf lovers is Cala Nova just north of Es Cana - try the coffee and cake in the beach bar just for three euros...all in all a very enjoyable week! Good Luck.

"Cala Martina Is Brill"
Travel date:
August 2004
It was brilliant. We stayed in a lovely apartment. We normally woke up at about ten o'clock, and we walked to the pool, which was across a road and there were nearly always free sunbeds - no queueing at seven to get them.
The beach was a short walk away, and there was a lovely restaurant down the road. The poolside cafe was cool, they sold brilliant lunches and toasted sandwiches. The restaurant down the road had fresh lobster in a tank and the food was gorgeous.
The only bad point was walking to Es Cana, there was a horrible corner with no pavement and it was very dark and scary.
There was not a brilliant range of restaurants and it had lost its Spanish culture but the Murphy's sold Mexican food that was the best I ever tasted.
I recommend you stay at the Cala Martina Apartments as me, my mum, my dad and my sister loved it!!!
