The one key Carolina Apartments are situated on the hillside some 1,000 metres from the beach and 300 metres from the centre of Puerto Rico on the south western coast of Gran Canaria, about 50 kilometres from the airport.
The accommodation at the three storey Carolina complex, which was renovated in 2003, comprises 67 single and five double apartments, each having a private bathroom and shower, a kitchenette and a balcony or terrace. Each apartment is equipped with pay to view television, a hair dryer, ironing board and a rental safety deposit box.
The facilities at the apartments include a swimming pool (surrounded by a sun terrace with sun beds and parasols), a separate children's pool, a bar, a luggage room and a laundry.

About ten minutes to shops/bars etc. 30 minutes to beach, both via steep stairs. Taxis are frequent and cheap as an alternative. Would recommend if looking for a good base on a budget.
