It is a real shame - this place is in need of some TLC. We had stayed at El Guarapo for years before we went back this May and things are in a poor state. We arrived in the apartment to find the water heater was broken and the electrics were faulty. Our apartment was never cleaned once and after 11 days of sleeping in the same bed linen, we finally got our sheets changed.

The towels were awful and need to be destroyed ASAP.

The location is great, it is really quiet and the pool is superb. The take away on site (Antonio) served great food at really cheap prices and is the best feature of the complex.

With there being only 50 apartments, this could be a gold mine if the towels, shower and basic amenities were upgraded.

Until they do, if I were you, stay at Nazaret or Oasis Lanz.

We have stayed at El Guarapo twice now (two adults and one child of three years). The apartments are clean and tidy and the pool area is well kept.

It's a quiet place, so don't expect lots of action, but if you are after a good family atmosphere, I would recommend it. The reception staff are very helpful and it's an easy stroll into the centre of Costa Teguise if you want to eat out. There's a nice restaurant next door, so you don't have to go far for lunch. A great place for out of season breaks!
