"Fantastic!"
Travel date:
June 2008
Me and my boyfriend have just got back from Golf Center and I must say that I was dreading going after reading the reviews. However, the holiday was fantastic, the accommodation is superb; the apartments are spacious and roomy with brilliant views. There is also a rooftop terrace from which you can see for miles and watch the sunset.
The only disappointing thing about the apartments was that there was no maid service all week, although our neighbours in the apartments got the service frequently.
There is a lovely five to ten minute walk to the shops, restaurants and beach and if you walk an extra 15 minutes, you get to an even bigger part of town with more going on. However, there is sufficient to do near the apartments.
I would recommend 'El Bistro' for food. It is run by a British family, but they keep the Spanish feel. There is plenty to do for all ages from golf to jet skiing, banana boats to go karting.
I would definitely go again and to those people unsure about the place due to the reviews written, so what if there isn't a kettle and a toaster, there's a grill, oven, plenty utensils for cooking and boiling water. Please, go see for yourself because we were very pleasantly surprised. Probably my best holiday yet.

"Golf Center Apartments - Oh Dear! What A Dump"
Travel date:
September 2007
My friend and I went in September for a week's rest. We always go self catering so it was a surprise to find not even a kettle was provided. The kitchen utensils consisted of a couple of grotty pans, four cheap and nasty knives, forks and spoons and some non matching cups, saucers and plates. The oven and grill didn't work. The fridge was so full of ice it looked as though it had never been defrosted since it was bought. The bathroom suite was made up of non matching tatty items. All the furnishings were shabby and worn. The windows didn't shut properly and curtains were hanging down. At least the sheets were clean.
On the first night we ate in the (can't call it) restaurant. The cook had the same dirty T-shirt on for most of the week. If you wanted a kettle, toaster, fan and safety deposit box, all could be hired. Don't think I need to say more. An experience I hope I never, never repeat. Couldn't wait to get home from the Golf Center.
