"Feel Safe At The Atlantic Park - Zero Tolerance For Bad Behaviour"
Travel date:
June 2008
Family environment, friendly staff but above all, food was exemplary. Having travelled extensively worldwide staying in five star hotels, their catering surpassed my expectations. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly daily but for the Victor Melrews out there, zero tolerance on yobbish behaviour. They would be thrown out of the hotel without hesitation. An international hotel frequented by the Spanish and Italians besides us Brits. What a compliment to this hotel.
On the downside, entertainment was poor and repetitive - very small children orientated but as we all know, that comes down to money. We will definitely return next year without fail. The Atlantic Park hotel ticked all our boxes. Well done staff. You made our visit memorable. Everyone, please book all inclusive and wear that hideous wrist band so I won't feel such a fool -ha, ha! It clashed with all my jewellery.

"Noisy But Nice"
Travel date:
June 2008
The hotel was very clean and fresh and rooms cleaned daily. There were plenty of sun-loungers for everyone outside and good poolside facilities (bar, toilets, showers etc).
My one complaint was the noise in the hotel. We found we were woken every night by groups of young lads and girls returning between 2 a.m. - 5 a.m. I suppose some would say 'it's Magaluf, what do you expect?' but we had hoped that as the hotel is a little out of the centre and aimed towards golfing trips, that it would be quiet. To be fair to the hotel, we didn't complain so perhaps they would have taken action had we done so - but on one occasion the noise was coming from the lobby for about 45 minutes at 4 a.m. and nothing seemed to be done to stop it.
The food was very nice and plenty to choose from. Desserts were decidedly dodgy, but I think I am too used to British milk chocolate and Cornish ice cream!
The 'Pirates' show is practically next door and is a must see - people travel from all over the island to get what we had on our doorstep. Also water parks are very close and a bus-stop right outside will take you into Palma for about three Euros. Magaluf 'strip' is about five to ten minutes walk although there are plenty of bars two minutes from the hotel.
Magaluf wasn't to my taste, think Blackpool in the sun, but if I was to ever return, then I would happily stay in the Atlantic Park (ear plugs permitting!).

"Certainly Recommend The Atlantic Park Hotel"
Travel date:
May 2008
We stayed in the Atlantic Park hotel in May of this year, two young women and cannot recommend it enough. All staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel manager made himself available when needed, the food was really good with plenty of choice to suit everyone and a good rotation of options throughout the week. The pool area is clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. The room was immaculate as it had been refurbished in recent years.
In terms of location, the hotel is five to ten minutes walk away from the night life and beach - just enough away to remain undisturbed by the noise.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone without a doubt.

"Atlantic Park Review"

We arrived as a group of nine young males all ready to go absolutely nuts every night for a week in Magaluf. The first thing they said to us before even saying 'Hello' was 'If you make noise, you're out!' Charming! Excellent customer service! So they do have a zero tolerance with noise/anti social behaviour which another group found out as they were asked to leave on their first night! So good news for the more relaxed holiday makers.
Rooms were fine and cleaned daily. However, be prepared to face the wrath of the cleaners if you don't get out of bed until the afternoon hours.
The pool tables were about as flat as a ski slope but football was available daily, as well as other really exciting activities, i.e. French bowls and water polo.
Food at first was good, plenty of choice. However, does get boring after a while but you can't really expect them to change the menu considerably every day. If you don't like fish or meat, you're pretty much stuffed!
The staff were a bit 'offish', especially behind the bar but I guess it doesn't really matter because the only contact you have with them is when ordering a drink! The manager did slightly unsettle us, when reminding us constantly that the hotel was like 'Big Brother' and they are always watching us. However, after close inspection, the showers were camera free!
Entertainment was very child based, i.e. silly adults prancing about with no shame whatsoever. Worth missing although you have to sit there if you want to make the most of the open bar that's on until midnight.
The hotel is about five to eight minutes from the main strip so you have the convenience without the noise/vomit that arises every morning in peak season. The beach is even closer, no more than five minutes. Water sports etc are available but are quite dear.
Taxis from the airport are 40 euros, or in our case about 28 until the cab driver pressed his magic button that was for 'luggage" and topped the meter to exactly 40 euros. Amazing how they calculate the weight of our luggage!
However, come the end of our stay we actually received our first compliment which was along the lines of 'thanks very much boys for being so well behaved' - you're welcome!
All in all a good place for Magaluf standards, especially for couples but the foods a bit rubbish. Hope this helps.

"Atlantic Park OK To Stay!"
Travel date:
August 2007
We stayed as a large group in the Atlantic Park. The first and most important part for me is if the room is clean enough to sleep in. I found this to be sufficient and when returning from the day out, the room smelled fresh and welcoming.
As before, people have suggested that the staff could have been more welcoming, this is true and the entertainment could be improved upon. The food was plentiful but did get a bit boring to the end of the holiday.

I stayed with my husband, two grown sons and a friend. The hotel seemed OK at first but on the first morning after arrival, my son and friend were approached by one of the staff and told there had been a complaint of noise from their getting in in the early hours and were told if it happened again they would be asked to leave. This is Magaluf not some quiet town in Austria. I complained but to know avail.
The food was OK for first two days then became bland and boring and although the desserts were plentiful, the other choices were less.
The entertainment was second rate although the entertainment staff were jolly and energetic.
The staff, particularly at the bar, were miserable and unobliging.
The rooms could have been kept cleaner and the beds were very hard. I definitely will not be returning to the Atlantic Park.

When we first arrived at the hotel, everything seemed nice and looked very posh, but I agree with the previous person who reviewed, the staff do seem to have more time for the Spanish staying there. Several times at the bar I would be waiting for a while, because the Spanish would get served first. We also felt that the drinks had been watered down?
When we arrived the receptionist took my friends passport with no explanation, we were just told to collect it the next morning. When we collected the passport we were slightly concerned as we were all inclusive and wasnt sure about the food/drink situation, we were told that we should have been given wristbands on our arrival.
Luckily we were on the 4th floor, but even so it was slighlty annoying about the lifts, when they did actually work they seemed to take forever to arrive!!
On one occassion i neede some change to use the phonebooth to check our transfer and the receptionist just ignored me, chatting away on the phone!
As a 19 year old i loved it in magaluf, it was brilliant and i would recommend it too anyone, pirates is good too, but i dont think its perhaps child friendly!!
Over all the rooms were lovely and the hotel was clean, i cant dispute those things, the food, i thought was above average but was definately room for improvement. We stayed for 5 nights, and i would come back again, but would perhaps like to see the staff cheer up a little!!

"Atlantic Park?"

First impression of the hotel was great, very clean, nice rooms. However, on arrival we did notice that the staff looked miserable and were not very smiley, this continued throughout our two week stay. There were a lot of Spanish staying in the hotel and the staff did find a smile for them, they seemed to enjoy their company rather than the company of foreigners.
The entertainment was below par, however, the entertainers did their best and worked very hard during the day with a variety of games.
There are two lifts in the hotel and nine floors. Nearly every other day one of the lifts broke down and on one occasion both lifts were out of action. We were on the eighth floor.
The food, well if you like salads there was always plenty of it. Deserts and fruit were well supplied. However, I like my meat well done and although there was a variety of meats every day, some of it I could not eat as it was not cooked enough for me.
We all enjoyed the weather and the pool and if the hotel wants to get returning British holiday makers they will have to change some of their policies.
These opinions are those of HotelStreet visitors and not of HotelStreet.
