Review title: "Don Juan Was OK!"
Travel date: July 2008
This year 14 of us went over to Magaluf and stayed in hotel Don Juan. I thought that the rooms were very clean and the hotel itself was not that bad as everyone has made it out to be! The food is rubbish but I'm fussy anyway so I had chips every night but a couple of times there was lasagne and stuff like that which wasn't so bad and the salad stuff looked nice if you eat it.

But one night 23 rooms got robbed so I would advise you to take all your money out with you and keep your eye on your bag the whole time. It does get noisy and when you are walking to and from the hotel, be careful as people like to throw water bombs and people at the hotel next to Don Juan, which is called Martinique, like to throw glass bottles over the balconies, but overall it was the best holiday ever!

Review title: "Nice Hotel"
Travel date: June 2008
The hotel Don Juan is situated just on the outskirts of Magaluf centre. We took our son who is 11 years old there for a week (thank goodness it was only one week) as it was very noisy.

The hotel is very clean, very good food and excellent selection. The staff could have been a little more friendly but on the whole it was a really nice hotel. It's not for families at all as there seemed to be a lot of stag and hen parties staying there who, quite frankly, didn't seem to have much thought for anyone else - this was in the early hours of every morning. I felt very sorry for the staff who worked there as they did try to handle things carefully when any problems arouse with the guests.

If the hotel was for families, only then I would go back to Magaluf but sadly it's not. The seven is because it was so noisy but the food and cleanliness was ten out of ten, as well as the swimming pool.

Review title: "Don Juan Hotel In Magaluf Is Rubbish!"
Travel date: August 2007
I found the Don Juan hotel boring and outdated. The food was near enough cold at every meal and was almost always the same thing everyday! The staff at this hotel were miserable and there were no English people staying there apart from myself and my mother!

Review title: "Poor"
Travel date: June 2007
The hotel itself was OK, rooms, pool and staff where lovely but the food was shocking. It was so bad we ate out most days. It was cold, under cooked sloppy and looked horrid - chips for breakfast, hard boiled eggs and warm bacon. The salad and fruit was nice - that's the only thing I could manage.

We had small children and stayed for two weeks. Two days before we left they decided to tell us they had a kids' club in their other hotel next door, so not very pleased about that either. Would never stay here again.

Review title: "Don't Go Here "
Travel date: June 2007
I advise anyone who is looking on staying here not to. Before I went I looked it up on the net and I thought, hey it looks OK. I went with three of my mates. We are all 18 and were going to Magaluf for a mad week.

This hotel spoilt it all. The food was terrible, the rooms were so small and the balcony looked like it was going to cave in. Every night we came home we got told off by the guard because we were too noisy - it's Magaluf for goodness sake!

We are going back and we're staying in the Magaluf Beach apartments. My marks are one out of twn for the Don Juan.

Review title: "Complete Rubbish!"
Travel date: September 2006
I wouldn't have even given this place a one but it won't go any lower! The food makes you retch, it's that bad, and yes, they do have chips for breakfast.

The rooms are filthy. After having a shower, two minutes later my feet would be BLACK from the floor.

As for the staff, they are so rude. My friend had her phone stolen when we went for breakfast and the doors were locked, so it was obviously one of the staff. When we confronted them about this, they told us to go the police station. They didn't offer to ring them and sort this, as it was one of their staff. They were more interested in telling us off for being noisy! Of course its going to be noisy, it's Magaluf!

What a dive! It will ruin your holiday if you come here. All the people that were there would agree too! It's the worst hotel there without a doubt. Find yourself another one!

Review title: "Had A Great Time"
Travel date: October 2005
Spent two weeks here and really enjoyed it. The hotel was clean, tidy and welcoming. The food overall was good with plenty of choice, even if some of it was not to my taste. It was close enough to the bars and beach without being noisy. The staff were very friendly and the icing on the cake was it was close to the 'Green Parrot' - a good 'bBoro' bar. Can't wait for May 2007. I'm 40 and going back!

When we first got there, we thought it was a dump. The hotel turned out to be an ok place to stay in, but there was nothing special about it at all. Food was satisfactory, as was every other aspect of the hotel. Not far to walk to the bars and clubs, but it is the furthest hotel away. Would stay there again, but not if I wanted anything fancy.

Magaluf is the best place young groups could go, I love it there, and will definitely be going again next year!!!!!!!!! It is amazing for the nightlife!

Review title: "Lively"
Travel date: July 2005
Just got back from Magaluf on Saturday. This has to be the nosiest hotel I have ever stayed in, which is great!!! Fun and lively, lots of gangs of boys and girls.

Food was ok, canteen was clean but it was a bit scruffy round the pool. Maid services everyday. Didn't really need air conditioning as the room didn't get much sun. Better than expected after reading the reviews before we went. Not for families at all.

Hello, I recently got back from this hotel and I'd say overall it was ok, nothing majorly wrong with it. There were three of us and the room size was fine. We didn't need any bigger really, bathrooms were good and maid service was also good. I'd say the let down was the fact it had no air conditioning and we didn't like the food but they did have chips, rolls and salad so it was ok!! To be honest, I think most hotels will probably have around the same standard of food and you would need to experiment but it did come in handy to have the food rather than going self-catering.

I'm going Magaluf again next year but the only reason I wouldn't stay at this hotel is because it has no air conditioning and the fans are not that good and we left them on all day and night! Overall the hotel is good clean and maintained. Have fun.

Review title: "Don Juan Hotel Is Great"
Travel date: October 2004
Just come back from the Don Juan. Had a good time. Staff friendly. Rooms small but big enough for two. Hotel clean. Rooms cleaned every day. Food was good - well cooked and presented and plenty of it. Swimming pools great and very clean. Overall, a good place for a relaxing holiday but evening entertainment could be better.

I thought that hotel Don Juan was the best holiday ever. I am a child and I loved it. There were things to do all day. The food was great. I love the rooms, nice and clean, good view from our room. The pool was clean and fun to splash in.

Travel date: May 2004
This hotel, I thought, was good. It had a lot to do - entertainment almost every night and very friendly staff. The rooms were of a decent usual size. The food was good - you had a lot to choose from depending on what you liked. Overall I would go here again and may be doing so next year.

Review title: "What A Dump!!"
Travel date: May 2004
Has to be the worst hotel I have stayed in.
Food terible, not suitable for a dog, never mind a human. Rooms like cupboards, Panorama reps unhelpful in every aspect. Would not send my worst enemy here. Watch the local gangs outside!!!

These opinions are those of HotelStreet visitors and not of HotelStreet.
