"Awful Hotel"
Travel date:
July 2007
Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. Arrived at 11.30 a.m. and was told the room would not be ready for three hours which I think is a joke after spending most of the day travelling. The pool is awful. Got bored of the food after the first day and the staff could be a little more pleasant.
Overall the hotel was poor and could do with a refurbishment as it looked tatty, will never go back.

"Needs A Facelift, Very Drab"

Stayed at this hotel on five occasions. The food is very good with plenty of variety but on two occasions during our last stay, my wife had 50 euros taken out of her handbag which was left in the room. We were only out of the room for an hour. We assume it must have been the maid. A lady from England had money taken from her room while she was at breakfast on the day she was leaving for home. The only person in her room during that time was the maid when we complained to the management they were totally disinterested. I will not be staying at this hotel again but I will still use the Amigos group of hotels when I next visit Benidorm.

"Cristal Park Was Shabby"

The hotel Cristal Park was the worst hotel I've ever been in. 1st, it was on a very busy road. 2nd, the pool was on the rooftop with no sun loungers, 3rd, the food was often nice but the smell of diesel put me off, 4th, the kids club was a joke - open at 7:30 until 8.00 with nothing to do. The reps were often drunk or stoned at the hotel.

"Magic Cristal Park Is Not For Me"
Travel date:

Stayed at this hotel with husband and three kids 16, 12 and two years and hated every minute of it. The hotel set up is mad. The pool for older kids is only small; the children's pool is on the fifth floor. It's like a maze trying to find it. When you get to it there is no drinking, you can't sit on the floor and there are only a few seats.
The park has black floor so when my little girl went to walk over it, she burnt her feet. At the main pool you can't lie near the pool because there are no sun loungers at all. You need to sit on chairs at all time. The kids club, my little girl liked, but started at 7.30 and finished at 8.00 o'clock and some times wasn't on at all. It was mostly organ music. Bingo not too bad, down stairs at the very bottom, but didn't open till later.
The food was good. My kids are fussy but they liked it. The smell of diesel is really bad and it put me off eating a few times. The roads are busy at all times so its hard to get any sleep, even with windows shut (you have to keep them shut because of the smell of diesel). When I got up one morning I found a cockroach near the lift and my son found a few in the telephone box inside the hotel.
The best hotel that we went to was Magic Monikas. The kids loved it and the food wasn't too bad.
If you want to catch bus from the hotel, be prepared for an hour and half drive. We got a taxi there and back for six euros each way and it only took ten minutes. The water park is great but didn't rate Terra Mitica. Over rated. I won't be going back to Benidorm as it was like going to Manchester at Christmas. Busy at all times, even going to beach was a nightmare and be prepared to spend, spend, spend because it is dear and very little for kids unless they would like to get drunk.

"Magic Cristal Park Is Super"
Travel date:

Had our second great stay at Hotel Cristal Park. Had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the park. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was very clean, bedrooms, bars and restaurant.
The most important thing for me is the food. This was excellent as usual and having the choice of other hotels to enjoy is a bonus. If our restaurant was busy, we just walked to another Magic Amigos Hotel and had our meal there. I do not know what some people want as the choice of food and the quality, I think, is exceptional.
Have booked again this year but am trying the Villa del Mar Hotel as it is right on the beach and we used to go there for lunch. Once again, the food is great and the staff (especially Andrew in the bar) are very pleasant.

+-+-+Intro+-+-+
Hi. Well, the pictures make it look a nice hotel which is I suppose apart from the horrible smell of diesel allover.
We thought this was because all the buses dropped people off at reception but it was wherever you went - outside or most places except the roof and the lifts which have air fresheners in them which smell even worse!
+-+-+The Pool And Jacuzzi+-+-+
Well, the pool was heated a little but our week there was quite cold except on the Sunday. The jacuzzi was great it was lovely and warm but it was quite small.
+-+-+The Rooms+-+-+
The rooms were normal. The bathroom wasn't too good. It had a television which had mostly Spanish and German channels. The closest was Eurosport wich was written in German but they spoke in English. Also there was BBC news and MTV2 which was German and had mostly ringtone adverts. Also some of the rooms smell of sewage like room 277. If you are in that room, ask to move because it stinks.
+-+-+Kids' Club - Rifi club+-+-+
The kids' club is quite good for the kids obviously. It has a big play area and a small one for toddlers. It also has table football, table tennis and televisions.
+-+-+Food+-+-+
The food was quite good. Well, they had a lot of selection but most was disgusting. The best food is at lunch. Most times avoid fish - its horrid and not good for your stomach!
+-+-+Shows+-+-+
The shows start at 10:30 pm. They are comedy, singing, karaoke and parrots.
+-+-+Conclusion+-+-+
Well, you heard this from a 13 year old so I would say if you havne't been to Benidorm, go and visit the Mad Maori at Talk Of The Coast, which is a bar in the show town. PS: you can get cheap flights with Fly globespan.
