The two key Hartaguna Apartments are situated on the hillside some 1,500 metres from the beach and 1,200 metres from the centre of Puerto Rico, but only about 150 metres from the Europa shopping and entertainment complex, on the south western coast of Gran Canaria, about 50 kilometres from the airport.

The accommodation at the seven storey Hartaguna complex comprises 61 studios, each having a private bathroom and shower, a kitchenette, and a balcony or terrace with views of the bay. Each apartment is equipped with pay to view television, a telephone, music channel, and a rental safety deposit box. The studios are cleaned five times weekly, the towels changed twice and the bed linen once per week.

The facilities at the apartments include a swimming pool (heated in winter), surrounded by a sun terrace with sun beds and parasols, a luggage room and a mini market. A free bus is provided to take guests to the beach. These apartments are popular with the young and with party groups. There are many shops, bars and restaurants in the town centre.
