The five star Don Carlos Hotel is located less than 30 minutes from Malaga International Airport and just 11 kilometres from the centre of Marbella. It is surrounded by a pine tree forest and is set in 40,000 square metres of gardens.

The hotel consists of a 14 storey main building and two flanking wings of three and four floors respectively. The Don Carlos has 241 rooms and suites, all with air conditioning, telephone, mini bar, satellite television, safety deposit box and 24 hour room service. There are three types of rooms available - platinum rooms are on floors five to 14 of the main building and have a terrace with sea view. Superior rooms are located in the main building and have a terrace with sea views, and in the wings, without a sea view. Comfort rooms have mountain or limited views.

Facilities at the hotel include a children's pool, children's playground and children's club during school holidays. The hotel also features an area dedicated to conferences with a total of ten multi use meeting rooms and the conference room 'Los Condes' with a maximum capacity of 1,300 persons, theatre style.

The Don Carlos has the 'Bahia' restaurant which is open throughout the year and serves a buffet breakfast. The 'Los Naranjos' restaurant has an a la carte menu offering gourmet dishes. This restaurant has a terrace where diners can be accompanied by live music.

The 'Marco Tennis Academy' within the hotel gardens features 11 courts, nine clay, four floodlit and two hard surface. Teachers and coaches for beginners or experienced players are available. The 'Sol y Sombra' swimming pool is heated during the winter and the children's pool is located next to it. A recently refurbished gym provided with modern equipment and views of the gardens is available, as well as massage and hydro massage. The 'Beach Club' is linked to the hotel by the hotel gardens and features a restaurant serving a Mediterranean buffet lunch, a bar and a swimming pool with three metre high water cascade falls. Sun beds and towels are available at the beach and around the pool at a charge.
