This was the most relaxing holiday we have had for years. The apartment was faultless, and all the staff were so helpful. There is a great shop selling most of the stuff you will need at good prices! Drinks for the pool were really cheap! There is a good bar with food too.

Myself and my husband and three children stayed there for five weeks this summer and did not want to come home. We had a fab time. It is a great place for kids, very safe and clean. There is a bar on site that does great food, very well priced and the people could not be nicer. Plus there is a small supermarket so you can get your bits and bobs.

And a woman called Sally runs it and she also does ironing. She did lots for me. Thanks Sally, that was a great help. It's a great place and can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Chipeque and what a surprise. Obviously a bit wary because of the reviews, but when you get there you cannot fault the place. Our apartment was in a lovely location overlooking the pool. There is also a pool bar on site where Ian and Lorraine serve the best cheesy mash! A small mini market where you will be able to buy your essentials is also on site.

All in all we were very impressed with the place and would definitely go back. If you are looking for a fairly quiet (well that depends on who gets round the bar!), comfortable, friendly place to stay, then this is for you.

Hi. I would just like to say what a fantastic time we had at Chipeque Apartments. The complex is spotless, not a sign of any cockroaches. The apartments have all been renovated to a high standard. The complex and bar are run by British people who are very professional, helpful and pleasant. The bar does very good food (which is available anytime you want it) and is the very reasonably priced compared to the other bars around the surrounding area. The complex has a mini market where you can get almost anything and this too is very reasonably priced. There are coin operated washing machines and internet access on site. I have read the other reviews on Chipeque Apartments and have to say the complex has really got its act together. We have booked to go back there in August 2007.

Having read the reviews on these apartments, I had my fingers crossed that all would be well. Bearing in mind that something usually goes wrong when me and my son travel, I didn't have too much hope.

Arriving around 1.00 a.m, it was going to be difficult to assess the place in the dark.
In the end I don't know why I was worried - reading reviews can be a mistake!

The studio apartment we had was small but satisfactory for the week's stay. Had no intention of cooking, what with so many good eating places in the area.

I saw one cockroach scurrying across the pool area late at night. That was it! I was told however that at the bottom end of the complex, where the bigger apartments were, you could see a lot of cockroaches, mainly dead ones. I heard no complaints from the guests staying in that area.

Pool was good, not the biggest but neither is the complex. Bar food was basis but nice.
Weather was fantastic!

I wasn't asked for any kind of deposit on arrival. I even got a drink from behind the bar even though it was shut. Receptionist did have to avoid the cameras to do it though!

Main gripes were that there was no entertainment at all, never mind cheesy stuff for the kids. Struggled to get a drink from the bar after 8.00 p.m. and food was only served till 4.00 p.m. when the signs all said 8.00 p.m.Turns out that the place is up for sale and that staff numbers have been greatly reduced. This would explain a few of the above.

Maid service was excellent. Whole complex was clean and tidy. Pool area cleaned every morning. All in all we had a great time and there seemed to be plenty of people choosing these apartments for their holidays.

It was brill. I took a mate and I'm only 14 and I thought it would be quiet but we walked in to Las Americas in high shoes but my feet didn't hurt. There are loads of things for kids.

As a group of six lads, we couldn't have had a better time. Everything we needed was near and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. The pool was clean and very relaxed. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Despite the staff being unhelpful, a GREAT time was had by all!

Apartments are small and can get hot and sticky at night, also they are not very well equipped e.g no oven/grill just a hob.

The staff are friendly and speak very good English, but the entertainment is very basic e.g bingo/karaoke.

The food in the bar is not so great. We ate out most nights, but the breakfasts were good for the price, also the mini market is over priced. You're better off walking five yards up the road to the supermarket.

All of the apartments look out into the pool, which is a reasonable size and a good way to cool down.

Overall this resort is good if you're looking for a cheap holiday and aren't intending to stay at the resort much.
