Having just got back from the Club Montecastillo apartments on a ten day stay. I would like to share my own opinion on it. It has three great pools, all with plenty of sun beds to go round. Very peaceful surroundings, plenty of local shops, cafes, eating places and entertainment - something for everyone, I would say.

The accommadation - we were upgraded- was OK. Very comfortable with colour TV, CD player and the usual items you would expect to find in a basic apartment really,but this is where for me and my family it ends.

The bedding was changed once in ten days, the bins emptied twice in ten days, (we had nappies), two loo rolls left in ten days, towels were left more often but these only had to be left. So in all the housekeepers called twice in this time! We paid almost £600 for our apartments so we really expected a little more. Also we had a time share person knock one morning too!.

All in all, I love Caleta de Fuste. I have been before but as for the in house cleaning in the Montecastillo apartments, it needs sorting out! If you don't want to end up sweeping and mopping yourself, like I did, it would be a great place to return.

We enjoyed our holiday in Club Montecastillo. The bungalows have been sold to private owners and are refurbished to a high standard. The one we stayed in overlooked the pool and was lovely. The bungalow was spotless and the property management company very helpful. We will be booking again for the summer.

We booked Club Montecastillo via the internet through a website specialising in holiday lets in Caleta de Fuste. We flew with Ryanair from Dublin for only 460 euros return in total and the bungalow was only 260 euros per week to rent so it was very good value.

The pool is enormous and has a nice pool bar which does a free barbecue for all guests and also a free paella another evening. There is a jacuzzi beside the pool bar which is another nice touch of luxury. Club Montecastillo also has squash courts, free table tennis, mini golf, volleyball courts and bowling areas and a sauna and gym.

The entertainment was very good on the two nights that we were there - a blues band called 'The Kings' from Argentina one night and a dance troupe from Buenos Aires another night.

The bungalows are near the Montecastillo shopping centre and are less than ten minutes walk to the beach. There is a little mini train that goes there from the beach if you are feeling lazy and it only costs one euro. Overall I would definitely recommend booking flights and accommodation separately as there is a fortune to be saved.

As the bungalows are now privately owned you get a lot of extras and you can see from the website exactly what is in the one that you are booking. We were also met at the airport by the company that we booked from and brought to the bungalow for only 15 euros extra so it saved a long queue at the airport for a taxi. Ryanair are flying to Fuerteventura from October this year also so there is a bargain to be had.
