The four star Hospederia San Gonzalo das Penas Hotel is located in an old monastery in the municipality of Forcarei. The Cistercian monastery of Santa María de Aciveiro, which now houses this guest house, was founded in 1135 and was one of the most important in medieval Galicia. The hotel was opened in the year 2000 and was refurbished in 2003. It covers a surface area of 3,000 square metres and sleeps 36 persons in 18 double rooms decorated in monastery style. One of the rooms has disabled access.

All rooms have a bathroom, telephone and television. There are five extra folding beds and cots available.

Facilities at the Hospederia San Gonzalo das Penas include a lift, garden, terrace, outdoor parking, television room, function room and conference room, library, ladies' and gents' disabled access toilet with support rails. The monastery has a restaurant open to the public with disabled access. Breakfast is served in the dining room and is included in the price of the room.
