The five star Vilamoura Beach Hotel is located in Vilamoura, in the centre of the Algarve, 26 kilometres from the Faro international airport and ten kilometres from Albufeira. The Vilamoura Beach is next to the casino and near four golf courses. The Vilamoura marina is only 500 metres away, with many nautical sports at guests' disposal.
The hotel has 311 rooms, of which 289 are doubles, 14 are singles, and eight are suites. All rooms have balconies with a sea view.
Facilities at the Vilamoura Beach include a conference room, three restaurants and three bars. For leisure, the hotel has two indoor heated pools and two exterior pools with separate children's sections surrounded by gardens, games room, lounge, pool tables, table tennis tables, health club and three tennis courts. A professional entertainment team provides activities for guests of all ages.
Board basis available at this hotel is bed and breakfast or half board.Vilamoura Beach Hotel is also known as the Atlantis.

Be careful... be very careful. This is not, not, not a five star hotel. Its a 40 year old hotel that hasn't been modernised since it was built. Rooms are clean, but if you were booking an old three star hotel you could accept that anyway.
Largely occupied by 65 plus. Nothing against old people (my dad is one) but when that's all there is it creates a certain atmosphere in a place. I took my young daughter and asked for a high chair -it was rusty and looked about 320 years old.
Funnily enough I stayed in a smart hotel the next year in Quinta.Went into Vilamoura and got chatting to a 40ish couple. He'd booked them into the Atlantis for their anniversary and they were so depressed - not what it says on the tin.
Some tour operators should know better - or it should come with a health warning!
