Review title:
"The Best Hotel In Ibiza"
Travel date:
July 2008
I stayed at the Catalina for a week in July with three of my friends. Before we went, we were terrified what to expect. All I can say is most of the reviews are totally over exaggerated. For what you pay, the hotel is amazing! It's fairly clean and really comfortable! Our air con didn't work but who is in their room long enough for that to be a problem, especially in Ibiza?
We checked in just fine and as we had to wait a couple of hours, were offered the use of storage for our cases and the use of showers and changing rooms - free of charge.
We were made up to see our room had a safe and just paid the three euros a day for it. We had no problems at all with hot water! The cleaner came to our room every day and changed towels/sheets as and when we requested!
If you don't lock your door, people may just open it and walk in, but for some reason we didn't mind that! We loved how you knew everyone in the hotel and how you would shout to them from your balcony!
We knew there was no pool but there is plenty of choice. No one cares when you go in to use theirs - just an opportunity to meet more people.
The location is incredible and I don't think any other hotel is situated in a better place!
Roll on Ibiza 2009! We will be making a two week stay at the Catalina for sure!
