The Ritz Madrid's classic rooms are single, double or twin bedrooms, with either courtyard or exterior views. Each has been individually designed with hand-made carpets, embroidered bed linen and antique furniture, combined with wireless high speed internet connection (on request), cable television, telephone and fax machine (on request), mini bar, air conditioning and electronic safety deposit box. Bathrooms are appointed in marble with gilded accessories and most have a separate shower cubicle, bidet, bathroom scales, bathrobe and hair dryer. Deluxe rooms are double or twin bedrooms, with exterior views. The junior suites have king or twin beds and a sitting room with views over the garden. The deluxe suites offer sitting rooms, bathrooms with windows, and exterior views over the gardens, the Prado Museum or La Plaza de La Lealtad. The royal suite includes a bedroom with king-sized bed, sitting room, and two bathrooms, each with its own entrance. A twin deluxe suite can be connected to the royal suite to create a combined suite with two bedrooms, two sitting rooms and three bathrooms. The hotel also offers optional non-smoking accommodation and a newspaper delivery service. An additional bed can be provided in certain rooms. An extra bed for children under 12 is available free of charge.
The hotel's 'Goya' restaurant offers a selection of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Every Sunday, between the 13:30 and 15:30 hours, guests can enjoy Sunday Brunch - a buffet with a variety of Spanish and international dishes, with a special buffet just for children. In spring and summer, the terrace and gardens of the Ritz transform in to a meeting place in Madrid for an al fresco lunch or dinner, or to sample traditional Spanish tapas. White wicker armchairs and marble tables covered with linen tablecloths are to be found throughout the shaded terraces and gardens of the hotel. The lobby bar offers traditional afternoon tea or light refreshments served in the early evening accompanied by a pianist, harpist, or classical Spanish guitarist. The bar also offers a selection of sandwiches, pastries and traditional English scones, accompanied by a selection of jams, clotted cream and tea of the finest varieties worldwide. The 'Velaquez; bar is with guests who wish to enjoy original cocktails and is open from 12:00 until 01:00 hours.
There are five salons available for meetings at the Ritz Madrid, ranging from small and stylish to grand and imposing, as well as the elegant gardens of the hotel which are suitable for larger receptions during the warmer months. Each of the rooms is individually decorated and distinctive in character and provides an impressive setting, while a trained and experienced team of chefs, butlers and conference managers can ensure the success of any function. All of the hotel's private meeting rooms are located on the ground floor of the hotel. The number of guests that can be welcomed is different according to the different room lay outs.
The hotel's business centre is located next to the main hall of the hotel and between the two main salons. It offers the following range of services to guests: bilingual secretarial service, telephones, faxes, photocopies, computers and printers and internet access. The Ritz's fitness centre, located on the mezzanine level, is equipped with treadmills, step machines, rowing machines, static bicycles, free weights, weight training equipment, satellite television, radio and daily newspapers. Access to the sauna is complimentary for guests. Massages, sun bed and facials can also be enjoyed at an additional charge.
