"Luna/Tropical Park - The Good. The Bad And The Ugly"

Read a few reviews a few days after booking and thought we had made a terrible mistake. Both my wife and I are in our mid fifties but enjoyed our stay despite what has been written. I booked via teletext and basically we ended up having a really good time for what is excellent value for money.
The food is very good as long as you are not a fussy eater and prepared to try anything different. The fish dishes were the best for me and the salads and rice dishes also good. A good selection and basically cold if you got there late and hot if you were early - surprise, surprise!
A big mixture of groups and people who we found well mannered and only rowdy late at night when they came home. You see, when you go on holiday you are supposed to enjoy yourself, drink, have a good laugh, a good time then get to bed and start again the next day. OK, we were awoken a couple of times when the young people came back to the hotel but for the most part it was funny and we got back to sleep OK. Lots of nationalities who all spoke English and were courteous to all of the elderly people there. Several universities and schools send their pupils here as well and lots of Spanish come here as well.
On the bad side just the steep hill and a few nights we were awoken. The ugly to me was the reception staff but that's down to what they have to deal with all the time - a very busy, full hotel. The good are the tireless staff, always cheerful and if you spoke to them in Spanish, absolutely brilliant.
Overall if you want to party, have fun and a crazy time this is for you. If you want a nice quite, peaceful, relaxing holiday don't come here. You can go to the Dorada just around the corner which is in the same group but mainly had older couples and was quieter but still a few youngsters.
You only get what you pay for. It's a three star, very cheap hotel chain that caters for all types apart from mainly Brits who want five star quality for next to nothing. So my advice is join in with the fun next time or stay at home to sit opposite each other and look miserable (I know what my wife and I like doing and it's not looking miserable).
Would we go back? Yes, but no more than a week. Any longer would be too much for us and burning the candle at both ends catches up with you quicker as you get older.

Firstly I was disappointed with the room - it was very small and four of us shared the one room. Secondly it is mostly full of Germans but that didn't put us off. The food is as much as any other all inclusive hotels I've been to before, not excellent but eatable. I was extremely disappointed to find that the all inclusive drinks stop at 11pm, then you have to pay for them.
The entertainment was not bad in the day but bingo in the evening was like listening to a Eurovision song contest's results poll. Oh and by the way, there is no cash prize only t- shirts, towels and big square flip flops which fit all. On saying that, I think a holiday is what you make and for me and my family, children age 16 and 12, it was the best holiday we have had in six years.
