The three key Rio Piedras Apartments are situated some 250 metres from the beach and 500 metres from the centre of Puerto Rico, on the south western coast of Gran Canaria, about 50 kilometres from the airport.
The accommodation at the Rio Piedras complex, which was built as ten terraces on the hillside, comprises 100 apartments, each sleeping up to three adults and each having a private bathroom and shower, a bedroom, a small kitchenette, a lounge with a sofa bed and a balcony or terrace. They are equipped with pay to view television, a telephone, music channels, a hair dryer and a rental safety deposit box.
The facilities at the apartments include a restaurant, a bar, a roof top swimming pool (heated in winter) surrounded by loungers and parasols and a hairdresser. There are many shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

My wife and I have stayed four weeks in the Rio Piedras in February/March every year for the last 15 years. So this lovely apartment hotel is a home away from home for us.
It is close to the sea and just across the street there is a public swimming pool heated up to 28 degrees until the end of March.
The staff at the Rio Piedras is kind, helpful and competent. It is to be recommended highly.

The apartments are very clean and spacious and very well equipped and come with a super balcony with stunning views.
