I've just came back from the Buensol and the stay was very good. Airport 15 minutes away and three Chinese restaurants at the back of apartments.
Very basic Spanish rooms but for eight euros a night were good. Very central and looks on to the beach. We were there for a hen party so had a pleasant stay as there wasn't much sleep. Would go back and recommend.

"Buensol Apartments Very Basic"
Travel date:
February 2009
Only good thing about the the Buensol apartments is the location. Place is very dirty. Asked for clean towels and was told that I have to be there more than four days before they are changed. Rooms are very basic. Bathroom is off the bedroom so if others sleeping in lounge, they would need to go in the bedroom to get to bathroom. It cost 50 euros to get the remote that works the heating, but you do get this back when you check out. If you want a TV, you would have to hire one.
Rooms are very noisy. When the toilet flushed in any room, it sounded like all the toilets were being sucked dry. This goes on at all hours. So be warned.

"Top Value Apartments"

Stayed at the Buensol in spring 2008 and again in autumn 2008. Air conditioning system (for which a refundable deposit of 50 euros was payable) cooled in the heat and warmed in cold. Any problems re boilers and rooms etc. were sorted in less than a day. Reception staff very competent and excellent at getting things done, (not all gushy and dim as in some places).
More than basic apartments with separate kitchens and decent balconies. It is one star price for three star plus quality. Recommend for families, solos and couples over 60s included. And the location is right next to beach and bars shops etc, yet quieter than most places. It's a star.

"Basic But Real Good Value For Money"
Travel date:
October 2008
Stayed at the Buensol for short break at end of October and was apprehensive having read some poor reviews. However, the rooms were clean, large and comfortable, although a little dated. The sea view from room 404 was great. Pool area was OK and no problem with sun beds.
Bar was quiet but there are so many good and cheap bars nearby to choose from. The best food and welcome was at 'The Ivy'.
The location is excellent with the beach only seconds away. The only downside was that we didn't see a cleaner to change towels for the four days we were there but at £25 per day for two you can't go wrong.

Very basic apartments. Didn't like the bar area. Not a luxurious apartment at all. The buensol is very centrally situated though.

The rooms were simple. The pool area didn't have a lot of sun in the mornings but had some sun in the evenings. Some of the nights there was great entertainment.

"Buensol Apartments Are wonderful"

Where do you start? Well the apartment was fantastic with a great veiw of the beach. Every morning we got a wonderful view of the sunrise.
The bar, they let you take your kids in so there was no stopping us. They also had a pool table and sky TV. The pool is nice and clean (a little bit cold for me but my little boy did not mind). You are one minute from the beach and shops and if you don't like spanish food there is even a chippy and a chinese take away.
Every one was friendly. Well recommended A+++++++++. Also there is a travel agent across the road for booking excursions (the Rock of Gibraltar, etc). All in all a good family holiday.
