The four star Silken Monumental Naranco Hotel was inaugurated in 2001 and has a spectacular façade overlooking the hill from which it takes its name. Oviedo's new conference centre is only five minutes away.

This Silken hotel has 62 double rooms equipped with satellite television, air-conditioning, modem connection, mini bar, safety deposit box and bathroom with hair dryer. One floor is reserved for non-smokers. The hotel's executive rooms offer all the services and facilities of standard rooms plus special extras such as trouser press and free newspaper service. Guests can have breakfast brought to their room at their convenience. Guests have the choice of two junior suites with services as for executive rooms: trouser press, free newspapers and en-suite breakfast at any time. The bathroom has a hydro massage bath and the bedroom an adjoining dressing room and sitting room. Each suite has two terraces with views over Monte Naranco and the city of Oviedo.

The hotel's 'El Monumental' restaurant, seating 35, has a three forks award and offers an inspired menu with a choice of traditional specialities or international dishes. Every Wednesday the Monumental Naranco hosts a sampling menu of typical Asturian dishes. The air-conditioned restaurant's avant-garde interior features an unusual skylight that provides a natural ambience. The 'La Foncalada' cafe's Modernist decor combines glass and steel, with a glass lamp as its centrepiece. Separate from the dining room, it offers guests a choice of settings for meals. Its windows look out onto the street. By day a café, where guests can sample the kebabs of the day or other dishes, by night it is transformed into a bar serving cocktails and 'combinados. Television lovers will appreciate its large plasma screen.

The Monumental Naranco has four public rooms named after monuments of the Asturian Romanesque period: Santa María (the largest), San Miguel, San Julián and Santa Cristina. All public rooms are modular and can be linked to accommodate between ten and 350 guests. They offer wi-fi and telephone facilities and on request can also provide audiovisual services (projectors, screens, etc.) and a hostess and translation service. Catering facilities include coffees, cocktails, Spanish wines and business lunches, on request. Receptions and weddings can be held in the Santa María, San Miguel, San Julián or Santa Cristina rooms depending on accommodation required and number of guests: anything from 15 to 230. Guests have free, exclusive use of the sauna and gymnasium. The mixed sauna has room for six people and the gymnasium is equipped with static bicycle, steps, weights, etc. Changing room, showers and towels are provided. The heated indoor swimming pool with mosaic tiles and wooden decking is designed to provide guests with a restful atmosphere and guests have exclusive use, free of charge. The hotel provides 50 parking places. The main features are a three-metre high entrance, security camera surveillance and direct access from hotel lifts.
