The three star Hotel Helios is situated near to the beach, in Almuñecar on the Costa Tropical, about 80 kilometres south of Granada Airport.

The accommodation, at the Helios, which was built in 1989 and renovated in 2001, comprises 232 rooms and five suites, on nine floors, each having a bathroom and a balcony or terrace, and being equipped with air conditioning and heating, satellite television, a direct dial telephone, fire alarms and smoke detectors, and a rental safety deposit box.

The facilities, at the hotel, include three lifts, a restaurant, a bar/cafeteria on the terrace, 24 hour reception with currency exchange, a swimming pool which is heated from November until March, a sun terrace, a souvenir shop, a reading room, a television room, a games room, and a hairdresser. A programme of entertainment is provided, including a mini club for the younger children.
