Review title: "Fantastic"
Travel date: August 2007
We have stayed at Playa Moreia for four years running now. Each year gets better and better.

The apartments are basic but very clean. The atmosphere around the place is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and the entertainment of the evening is just great. We visited twice in 2007 and are returning in 2008.

Henrietta and her team are very accommodating!

Review title: "Amazing!"

This was our fourth visit to Playa Moreia and as usual it was fantastic.

We have two young children and they love s'Illot. The best thing about Playa Moreia is that it is so accommodating for families. The entertainment is fantastic and the staff are very, very good. We have made very good friends with some of them.

If you want a holiday that it relaxing during the day and exciting during the evening, then you really must visit Playa Moreia.

We have already returned since summer and we have already booked for 2008.

Review title: "Love The Place!"
Travel date: July 2007
We, along with many other families, returned here for yet another great holiday and already arranging to return next year.

The location is fantastic. The accommodation is basic but we found it to be clean and got on fantasticly with the staff who we found very friendly and helpful.

We go with a group that has many children/teenagers and have found that this location is suited and very safe for them.

The resort is reasonably quiet but that suits us and the entertainment was quite good with participation of any who wanted to join in.

We ate out every night of our 17 night stay and can not comment on the food in house but surprised about a comment on the 'Poker' Bar across the bridge which we and others ate at on a regular basis and found the food and service excellent!

This is not the Ritz but a two star accommodation and you get what you pay for - clean, basic accommodation cleaned every other day with staff that are friendly and helpful. At the price you pay, it represents very good value for your money and allows you to book directly with the hotel who also for a good price arrange your transfers.

Will we go back to the Playa Moreia? Yes. Looking at October this year and 21 days next July/August.

Review title: "Would Not Go Back"
Travel date: June 2007
We are a family of four, with a two and six year old . There are plus and minus points about the Playa Moreia hotel, here goes :

We arrived quite late (23:50). At the front of the hotel extremely loud music was being played, fortunately this stopped soon after midnight. We were in a two bedroom apartment on the seventh floor at the front of the hotel. We had wonderful views over the beach to the front. The rooms are basic but had everything we needed, the bathroom did smell but it wasn't too bad. Do not go all inclusive under any circumstance, although good value for money (only 48 euros per day, children were free) as the canteen was a nightmare and food was very basic. After the first couple of days we ate out every night. The staff were extremely miserable, probably due to the fact the hotel is now pretty much all inclusive and there were no tips to be made. Although the hotel was marketed as a family hotel, they had taken bookings for large groups of teenagers and those in their early twenties. One in particular, a group of over 20, they seemed to be part of a soccer team. While their behaviour wasn't bad, it seemed a very strange booking for the hotel to make. One night the police were called as they were outside the front of the hotel until 4 a.m. making noise and causing trouble. Most of the restaurants are struggling as most hotels are offering all-inclusive. We did go to one called 'Bi Ba Bo' - go over the bridge at the front of the hotel, you get to it after about 200 yards and this was pretty much the best one we found. Do not go to the one called 'Poker' - we were ill after eating there, also the owner tricked the children into buying inedible ice creams which we they left after one lick.

You will not get an early night at this hotel. They play music every night outside the front of the hotel until midnight and it is extremely loud, even on the seventh floor. If you have a room at the back of the hotel, you get the sun from mid-day until it sets and with no air conditioning, it must be unbearable. Our apartment was at the front ( for which you needed to pay an extra ten per cent due to the sea view).

This place had great potential, but unfortunately it seems to be heading downhill fast. We booked it based on other reviews we had read, but it does seem that things have changed over the last couple of years. We wouldn't go back.

These opinions are those of HotelStreet visitors and not of HotelStreet.
