Aparthotel Palmeras Playa

Did book up for a fortnight at Palmeras Playa - Sa Coma but had to come home early after nine days due to mother passing away. Staff behind reception and Thomsons rep. were very helpful in helping us to arrange flights back to UK, which we were very appreciative of.

The service from the receptionists and service staff we could not fault. If anything in the rooms was not in sync, it soon was, except for the TV, which only had European channels and BBC4(ughh)!

Whilst there, my wife and 14 year old son enjoyed our time there on a self-catering basis. Due to the Caprabo hypermarket being rearranged, basic food stuff on shelves was a bit scarce. Local Spar shops were a bit pricey, more than in the UK, but did find a smaller supermarket in s'Illot which was reasonable - cheaper than Spar.

The location of the aparthotel was good, but one downfall was the entertainment - mainly German orientated but the entertainment staff did their best in trying to keep all nationalities amused.

Eating out tended to be a pricier than 2007 due to the drop in the euro to the pound, but what the heck, we're on holiday.

I would definitely go back to Sa Coma as we didn't get to do a lot of things we planned to do.

I loved staying here. The reps were all right nice and the staff are great, especially Jamie. Can't wait to go back in three weeks - yeah!!!!
