This French speaking hotel is set amidst pine forests, orange and lemon trees. It is 15 minutes walk or five minutes by a small train to the centre of Portocristo. Within 300 metres of the hotel there are the Caves of Hams.

Facilities at the Castell dels Hams include three outdoor swimming pools surrounded by terraces with sun loungers and bordered with pine trees, a heated indoor swimming pool (according to season), sauna, children's pool, four tennis courts, gym, two squash courts, pool tables, table tennis, shooting, basketball court, beach volleyball, handball, mini golf, mini-football, badminton and bowls. A professional entertainment team organises a programme of entertainment including sports competitions, aqua gym, dance and mini football. During the school holidays, children from four years of age are accommodated in the mini club everyday except Saturday. There is a children's games room, adventure playground and a programme of activities. The hotel's air conditioned non smoking restaurant serves hot and cold buffet meals. Every week the chefs choose different themes, for example, fish, Italian, Eastern, international food or paella.
