Review title: "Not That Bad"
Travel date: January 2008
I have been coming to Parque Royale over 20 years and have been fortunate enough that nothing like this has ever happened to me. I am also the president of the community and work hard to improve the building. Getting robbed on holiday must be a dreadful experience and I am sorry you had to come all this way for that to happen. As far as your deposits go, you should have called the police.

In the past few years Parque Royale has been cleaned up, painted and security has improved to include a fence around the complex. Residents now need a key to access the main door (not always open as before) and CCTV cameras have been installed. With the arrival of retired Italian and British couples who live here for a great part of the year, the place has a more residential feel to it than before (less lager louts!)

As a Spaniard I am sorry that you came over to Spain for this to happen to you. Chances are that you can get robbed anywhere if measures are not in place to prevent this. I can assure you that things are much better now.

Hi. Have had an apartment in the Parque Royale for five years and have not had any trouble. I feel it is getting better all the time.

Review title: "Visit Parque Royale And Get Robbed"
Travel date: August 2002
Got apartment broken into on the first night there. All our diving equipment stolen. most of our clothes and jewellery. They tried to break into the safe, which made it impossible for us to check whether our money had gone as well. Went to report this to the man on reception (who was English) and he refused to call the police or allow us to use the telephone. Would not call the man who dealt with the safe. Had to deal with everything ourselves. Eventually got the safe man at 10.00 a.m next day. Luckily all our money was safe.

Almost every person we talked to had had something stolen while on their stay at the Parque Royale apartments. To top it all, when we took our safe key back at the end of our holiday (along with ten or so other couples) for our deposits, they had no money available. They told every one to come back later for their money. Needless to say, we never saw them again. It's only about £8. Someone said multiplied by ten that makes £80, not bad for a bit on the side which I guess happened most days of every week.

So I guess our stay at the Parque Royale apartments was a total disaster.
