We have just returned from the Guayarmina Princess and we had a wonderful time. Th hotel was very clean and tidy. Staff were wonderful, very happy and could not do enough to help. Food was varied and tasty. Pools were very clean with fresh water. Well worth a visit.

Review title: "Wonderful Hotel"
Travel date: May 2008
We have stayed at this hotel five times in two years. We love it! Yes the rooms are basic and could do with a revamp and yes, I agree that the plastic flowers are horrendous but the overall stay is just wonderful.

The food is amazing. The staff are lovely. The whole ambience is friendly, welcoming and relaxing. The best bit is the pool area. We have children and the shallow pool for them is fantastic. The sunbathing area is available right next to the pool and access to the beach is within a minute via the elevator.

All local amenities are well situated and the variety of local food and drink with friendly people is second to none. We are returning in September so it goes without saying that we thoroughly recommend the Guayarmina Princess.

Review title: "Great Family Break"
Travel date: February 2008
We visited this hotel with our two teenagers during the half term holidays. We had a very enjoyable stay with a large partitioned four bed room, full range of television channels (ITV, BBC1, BBC2 etc.) and a great sea view.

The location of this hotel is spot on - right on the front. The pool area is pleasant with plenty of sun beds. The dining hall is good and the food was well presented, varied and plentiful. My teenagers were spoilt for choice. The interior of the hotel is stunning with its gallery ceilings. Yes, it's a pity about the plastic plants - but they didn't spoil the holiday. Definitely will go to the Guayarmina Princess hotel again.

Review title: "Guayarmina Hotel"
Travel date: November 2007
I have just returned from a weeks stay with my family in the Guayarmina Hotel in Costa Adeje. We paid the extra fee (£140) per room for a sea view room. This was well worth the extra money as you could hear the ocean rolling in and personally I find that very relaxing and means that you are certainly on holiday!

The rooms are quite basic but spotlessly clean and the beds are changed every two days. There was plenty of space with a sitting area behind the bedroom.

There are only a couple of things that I could make a comment on. Firstly the restaurant. I found meal times to be very frustrating and somewhat like being in a 'rush hour' in the centre of London. Even though there are two identical food stations in the large restaurant, the guests seem to rush to the buffet tables like they are going to run out. This is certainly not the case - there is always plenty of food on the buffets and waitresses are re-stocking all of the time. I know the hotel holds over 1000 people and last week the hotel was full. All of these people need to be fed. But I think the British are the worse. Plates are piled high and people are rushing here and there to get food. Totally unnecessary. Because of the volume of people the restaurant is very noisy - especially in the evenings. In fact, we found we couldn't relax and enjoy a bottle of wine with our meal so even though our evening meal was paid for we ate out in Costa Adeje three times. This we found to be much more pleasurable and relaxing - and much quieter!

The second thing to strike you when you arrive at the hotel is the vast number of plastic artificial plants and flowers everywhere. I know the Spanish probably like this sort of thing but personally I cant stand to see plastic flowers!
This is totally unnecessary and in my opinion totally spoils the overall look of this very stylish, modern hotel. The structure and lay out of the hotel is ideal but everywhere you look all you see is cascading plastic flowers. Not nice and why have so many? It would be better if these could be replaced by the real thing.

The resort was good, lots of good restaurants and close to shops.

Overall we enjoyed our week at the hotel but decided we wouldn't return and would look elsewhere next time.

Review title: "Guayarmina Hotel Is A Dump!"
Travel date: December 2005
This hotel is a dump! Room was not ready on arrival, all furniture has been hand painted. Bedroom was a disgrace! Television was not working, electric sockets hanging from the wall, toilet was loose and packed at the base with tissue, all plastic coat hangers were broken, the balcony was filthy, patio doors/windows had not been cleaned for at least six months and air conditioning was noisy and worn out! The lifts are also very noisy of a night-time.

This hotel says that there are five nights entertainment in the brochure. When we arrived, there were actually two nights, the rest of the nights were made up with bingo and fashion shows!

The restaurant had a half an hour wait with a queue! I wouldn't queue or wait 20 minutes to get into Jamie Oliver's restaurant, never mind a Thompson hotel restaurant.

This review is written by someone that holidays three or four times a year in Tenerife and I have never seen such a badly managed hotel in my life! This hotel is worn out and requires large investment to rectify its problems and Thompson know this but still they make it a platinum hotel!

We stayed in this hotel for one night and paid another hotel for accommodation, which was called Hotel Playa de L'Arena, which we have stayed at on many occasions. This is the finest managed hotel in the island of Tenerife. This hotel delivers 100 % every time! P.S. Privately owned. I urge you to visit their hotel!

Review title: "First Class Hotel"
Travel date: September 2004
I have been to this hotel for two years running and have found it so good that I am returning again in May 2006. The accommodation is first class with excellent food and services. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends, some of which have now been themselves and enjoyed what my husband and I have had.

Review title: "Pure Luxury"
Travel date: February 2003
We first visited this hotel in 1999 when it was recommended by two family members.
We loved it and then went back in 2003 and have booked to go in May this year (2006) again.

The accommodation and facilities are fantastic, the food is out of this world and we had a great time both times we have visited and can't wait until this next visit.

I would definitely recommend it.
